Medication never ready on time . Always somthing missing,I understand medication shortages but having to make 3-4 trips to a pharmacy is shocking . Advised to request a 6 month dispense from GP but it's took 10 working days to get medication that they said wasn't ordered. Now there's a problem with the dispense. Waiting times are shocking ,pharmacy cannot operate the demand of people using the service

Dear Claire, We're sorry to hear you've had a bad experience collecting your repeat dispensing prescription from the pharmacy. We do our best to dispense all prescriptions promptly and on the day of your review we were dispensing prescriptions that had been signed by the prescriber on the same day. Unfortunately, sometimes prescriptions aren't processed within the time period that we expect, however, we will always process such prescriptions as soon as possible. Although repeat dispensing prescriptions work well for many patients, they can cause issues for others. We find that patients who have difficulties with repeat dispensing prescriptions usually fall into one of two categories; those whose medication needs frequent prescriber review and is therefore subject to frequent change, and those who are used to ordering their medication from their GP or through the NHS app and continue to do so. In both of these cases, the pharmacy is often not informed (Neither your GP or the NHS app will inform the pharmacy you have requested medication from them) and this can result in delays for patients. Do not answer the phone. Very difficult to get in contact with. Waited in the queue that didn't move so likely have the phone muted

Dear patient, Thank you for your feedback. I apologize that you had such difficulty contacting the pharmacy at the time of your review. Due to staff shortages at the time, waiting times both in the pharmacy and on the phone were increased. On some occasions, it may not have been possible for a member of staff to answer the phone. Staffing levels have since improved and as a result waiting times have improved as well.
