I went to return unused medicines for my recently deceased mother and the chemist would not take them. I was sent to another pharmacy who kindly took all of the medication and then later to Boots who took more unused medication despite not the dispensing pharmacy

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. I can confirm you were given inaccurate information. It is part of Community Pharmacies' Contract with the NHS to accept unwanted medicines from members of the public for safe disposal. The only exception is used sharps bins that only a small number of pharmacies may have the relevant license in place to accept them. We do not accept used sharps bins here, but there is another pharmacy locally that does. I have passed your feedback to other staff and also informed them that we accept unwanted medicines from members of the public, whether they usually use our pharmacy or not. Went here for a covid jab the first thing that struck me was the decor it was as if I had transported back to the 1950s (didn't look like it had been cleaned since then either) There was no real guidance as to the procedure it was all a bit of guesswork. We all sat or stood around like lost sheep. Eventually a few names were called but still no jabs done, in the end a staff member who had been standing in front of a computer asked was anyone for a 10am booking half a dozen of us moved forward, my turn now, booking reference asked for, invitation asked for, so I enquired was I on her list? No! so wasted half the morning going for a non existing covid jab to a 1950s chemist where no-one ever smiled, oh what bliss.

Went to have my Covid jab today, unfortunately they, for no apparent reason cancelled all the booked appointments, would not say why? Several other people were complaining, but to no avail, won't use them again.

Checked on line to see if open today , said open till 7. Went at 2.05 pm to find closed . Note on door said lunch from 2-3 so went back at 3.15 still shut !! As an asthmatic I am now seriously breathless having walked uphill in bitter cold , thanks a lot . Checking other sites it was supposed to be open till 3 on saturdays

Consistently rubbish pharmacy. Have changed to Central Pharmacy even though it adds an extra 20 mins walk. Extreme waiting times. No smiles, ever. Once, after a 30 odd minute wait in a short queue, I asked when my prescription had got to them. I was told 2 days ago. I said "and it's still not done?!" The member of staff snapped that they have 15000 patients on their books and they're very busy. What the heck has that got to do with me?! Not all 15000 patients order their prescriptions at the same time do they?! And, if they're that busy, then they need to rethink something don't they - more staff/a better system? I just want to go to collect my prescription and not have to wait 30 - 40 minutes every single time! Plus it's dirty and grotty and unorganised. And, what made me finally change chemists - while in a queue on my most recent visit, I watched the pharmacist continue to sort through prescriptions in the side office - after sneezing into a hanky in his hands and not clean them. Not at all what you want to see anywhere, let alone a pharmacy!

whats the point of having a phone line, when you try to ring them for 2 hours on and off and no one answers?? just constanly ringing??

The opening hours must be corrected on the website. I waited half an hour in the queue of only 6 people before being served, it all looked very chaotic behind the till and the level of service was very disappointing. I will be changing this chemist and where my future prescriptions will be sent.

As well as the opening closing times wrong on website. Went at 8am open at 9! Went back before 1 to patients sat inside and door closed. Advised they have the right to close early and would not advise how to pick up emergency prescriptions or antibiotics from another chemist really rude and unhelpful. Having to try and contact 111 on how to get antibiotics as not open again until Monday!

Both the pharmacist and counter assistant were first class, going beyond call of duty to provide service and reassurance.
