Their "frps" service has been running for years and mine has been cancelled with no explanation as to why or when. The staff are unprofessional, slow to serve and spend too long talking among themselves. Their overuse of tech machines seems to slow down the system, use of hand held and check it on desk top device...why. 7 working days for a repeat request and then they don't have the drugs. There is always a queue and today it was out the door. They don't care, have no compassion, unprofessional and generally shocking service. It has been going for months now and no signs of improvement. Something needs to be done urgently as it is now a joke.

Yes I feel sorry for staff that are serving…: But this has got to be the worst pharmacy. Why in 2023 are prescriptions not done electronically? Talk about take away people’s right to choose, where they can obtain a prescription from. There will always be a need for emergency prescriptions and people who can only use the local chemist but using electronic prescriptions some people can then get prescriptions other ways, this easing the system. The chemist then needs a massive overhaul of its working practices and organisation. I have never seen so many staff that mil around and don’t know what they are doing! How can you need 7 Days for a repeat prescription and when you go to collect over 2 weeks later the order is not ready! The dispensing machine was meant to be the answer but I order online at the earliest date I can and I never hear anything, I then end up calling in 2 weeks later as meds have nearly run out! What a joke!

My previous two reviews said how I felt about Mattishall pharmacy, which is really not good, I need to add to that. After the farce of the last few days, since Wednesday, I finally got the rest of my prescription yesterday, Friday. . I opened the bag this morning only to find they had completely left out my inhaler!! I was owed 2 lots of medication. This meant separate medications. They obviously counted my eye drops that come as two packages as my two owing medications, without checking what was owing. . There should have been my inhaler in there as well. Knowing the awful mistakes they keep making, yes I should have checked, but I was so glad to get out of place yesterday and get home. I’m now the weekend without my inhaler but worst of all, I now have to go back to the pharmacy on Monday morning to queue yet again for my inhaler!! I’m just speechless, absolutely speechless!! Frightening that I have to go through all of this again next month and the next, infinitum.

Review titled Basic Communication

Ordered prescription on-line. Requested to be notified of the pin number so I could collect from the automated dispenser. Checked on-line as had not heard back only to discover that one of my regular medications had been refused. No explanation. Upon phoning, I was advised that the item in question had been replaced as there were supply issues. Different drug, different strength. Also advised that my form for the automated dispenser was not submitted in time for this prescription. It was completed and submitted in June! All of this confusion could so easily have been avoided. A simple call or text to inform me of supply issues with an explanation of the substitute drug or the option to take my prescription elsewhere. It is unclear where the responsibility lies....doctors surgery or pharmacy? Many of these issues are avoidable and down to basic communication and organisation. Work flows and processes need to be reviewed, revised and implemented. Consideration should be given to bringing in a business manager to update the perceived inefficient processes of both the surgery and the pharmacy.

I spent nearly an hour in there last night. Took 30 mins to get to the counter then nearly another 30 mins for them to find the prescription. It gets worse every time I go and one particular counter staff has only 2 speeds, slow and stop! There is however one female who is lovely and really tries but she must be so stressed working in a completely negative environment with disgruntled people in the never ending queue. Diabolical service.

Queued for an hour only to be told that they don’t have the items on prescription yet ( after 10 days of waiting) It was the second time it has happened. I asked if I can take prescription elsewhere- was denied. They can receive electronic prescriptions but they do not send them electronically. Your only option to have prescription sent is to pay for an envelope - in 2023 !!! They do everything to tie the patients to this poorly managed pharmacy. Shame on you. Staff is rude and not helpful. They can not manage simple things and lacking communication skills. This pharmacy should be shut down !!!!

Went today to pick up a prescription - over 45 minutes even though there was only four people in front of me - the worst thing about this place is that absolutely n one cares even a little bit that they provide the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. They couldn't even provide the pills I needed! They appear to be massively over staffed with countless staff just milling about - everyone is a total shambles - really, really poor, especially for the poor people that really need their medications - how do they cope? This desperately needs a decent manager - it is not a difficult job - need someone with efficiency and customer service

This pharmacy is over staffed, undermanaged and prehistoric. Now requiring seven working days to make a prescription. Regularly wait an hour to be served. About ten people milling around in back like headless chickens digging through heaps of bagged up prescriptions. If request prescription to be sent to big supermarket pharmacy - they post it there. Heard someone being told they’d be charged for the envelope. They cannot cope with numbers yet close at lunch time and don’t open on Saturdays. Complete shower - regularly miss things off my repeat so I have to queue again - for a hour. Yet staff still drinking mugs of tea and eating biscuits. Honestly, to watch them is a lesson in inefficiency.

Today it took 45 minutes to get served. I hate going there, it is the same every time. Today two staff serving, there must be another eight/ten doing other things but as soon as it got near 1 pm (close for lunch) another four were instructed to serve and limit entry to the shop. Really really poor.

I dont think they have a clue, dtopped off a prescription 3 eerks ago went to collect it and the one medication realy needed wasn't there, asked why it wasn't was told don't know. They should know, now got to wait another week, place not fit purpose
