1) sent prescription request 2) saw doctor 3) went upstairs for copy prescription 4) waited - then told 1 item unavailable - fair enough but when will they have it - cannot say, so said I could have 3 items and one owed 5) someone shouted my name and i went to desk in 3 seconds and person disappeared but knew I was there 6) waited for prescription again 7) told i had 3 items and now have to a) go to docs again for prescription for missing item and b) ring all chemists to find a stockist - not given an IOU slip at all What is wrong with you? some people here lovely and helpful but some???? so i dont have part of a prescription that a consultant said I needed to have - he even wrote it in a letter. They cannot be substitute same as that would be copywright. and Im sorry if my need is more expensive I have paid for prescription for 50 years and I think it would be nice to have the stuff the consultant told me to get.

Dear Patient, thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately there appears to be some misunderstanding in this instance. You write in your review that you were made aware 1 of the 4 items on your prescription was 'unavailable' to which you accepted and wished to collect the remaining 3 items. Just to clarify 'unavailable' means at present we are unable to source this item from any of our suppliers as there is a shortage in the market. Since the item is unavailable - we would not have been able to dispense the item hence the prescription was endorsed as 'not dispensed' which also meant we would not have given you an IOU slip as we had not been able to dispense the item. Understanding your needs for the item we advised to perhaps ask the doctor to re-issue a prescription just for this single item and try alternative pharmacies who may be fortunate to have some stock in. The point on copyright for an alternative and your needs being more expensive are confusing as this was not discussed at the time. Unfortunately this is a familiar scenario where we face challenges in trying to source a variety meds which are just not available. We are thankful to some of our local MP's who are aware of this and raising our concerns in Parliament too. Along side this please be assured we make every effort to try and source medicines where possible/available. You may recollect the pharmacy being particularly busy during your visit which may have been the reason you may not have heard the pharmacist call your name a few times as per routine. We even tried to call you after you left and upon reading your review as we didn't want there to be any mis-understanding. Apologies for the inconvenience with stock availability. If there maybe any further assistance we can offer please do pop in and we will try our best. thankyou
