  2. Review titled Rude and unhelpful withheld medication

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I came to the pharmacy for my medication as I do everyday at the same time might I add which is usually around 5pm, I have to walk to the pharmacy as I don't drive and it usually takes around 25 minutes. Today I was refused my medication as I was 8 mins late so 5.08pm and was told that I couldn't have my medication as the cut off point is 5pm even though the shop shuts at 5.30pm.when I first arrived the woman behind the counter said she would be with me in a minute just as she always does everyday but I then saw the owner who then said to me I couldn't have my medication as the cut off point is 5pm and its 5.08pm, I told the owner I was un aware of this cut off point but he then told me he's told me numerous time before even though its the first time I became aware of this rule. If I knew about it I would of came much earlier. Anyhow he was rude and very unhelpful towards me especially as I wasn't aware of the cut off point but he said I'm a lier basically coz he has told me in the past which is a lie. So not only was he rude to me he also calling me a lier was very unhelpful and refused my medication which I need to take on a daily basis otherwise I can become really ill. Due to this I will now have to suffer in pain through out the night until I can go back at 9am . I'm very unhappy and will also suffer because of this situation I have left the review so ther people are aware of the 5pm cut off point and u will not be helped in any way shape or form if u turn up after 5pm even though the doors r open and it doesn't shut until 5.30pm . Thanks for calling me a lier wasting my time travelling there and a night of pain n agony.

  4. Review titled Unprofessionalism

Rated 1 star out of 5

In the year of our Lord, 2022, a flyer bearing the mark of Farington Pharmacy, purporting to deliver prescription medication free of charge, graced my presence. Such a gesture, I deemed, was worthy of praise and thusly contacted the establishment to partake of their generosity. Alas, my neurological condition, which renders me housebound and bereft of vehicular transportation, made such a service a veritable boon to my well-being. One of my prescribed medications, classified as protected, mandated that I deplete my reserves of said substance before I could petition my specialist for another dosage. The side effects of abstaining from said medication were most unpleasant, inflicting upon me a scourge of melancholia. As the source of my medication lay with a specialist, the logistics of procuring such provisions were not always a seamless operation. I have on occasion been apprised that the requested medication would arrive at the pharmacy within 48 hours, only to discover that it was not present upon my arrival. In such instances, I was forced to seek out my specialist to ascertain the whereabouts of my medication. Such incidents have occurred on numerous occasions, and on one particularly vexing episode, I was left with no recourse other than to appeal to the National Health Service for an emergency supply. It would appear that I may have inadvertently incurred the ire of a member of Farington Pharmacy, as they may have interpreted my queries as impatience with their services. Yet, the reality was that a confluence of factors compelled me to contact the pharmacy on multiple occasions. In the month of April, I submitted a request for a repeat prescription. To my surprise, a pharmacist from the establishment contacted me via telephone, expressing that my prescription was ready for collection. Confused by this statement, I reminded him that I had opted for delivery, not collection. To my utter astonishment, he informed me that the pharmacy was no longer providing a delivery service to my person. He went on to offer a litany of reasons for this decision, citing capacity concerns and proclaiming that they do not go on strike like the NHS. Furthermore, he divulged that other pharmacies could not deliver with such celerity as Farington. In a thinly veiled attempt at justification, he declared that the pharmacy would henceforth prioritize deliveries to the elderly. I reminded him that it was the pharmacy who had extended the invitation to me, and I still anticipated the delivery of my prescription. Requesting that he furnish me with a written explanation for the termination of the service, he declined to comply. At this juncture, I initiated recordings of our conversations. Eventually, my prescription was delivered the following day, but the conduct of the pharmacist left me with a sense of immaturity and unprofessionalism. Subsequently, I am seeking another pharmacy to fulfill my medicinal requirements.
