Dear Anonymous, Many thanks for your review and apologies that you have not been able to get through to us on the phone. We do receive a significant volume of calls daily but do understand how frustrating it is not being able to get through. If you have ordered your prescription via the NHS app then you can go to Your health and then View and manage prescriptions and then select Status of your requests to see if your request has been confirmed by the surgery. You may also wish to sign up to our text messaging service which will send you a text when your prescription is ready for collection. Many thanks, Knights Pharmacy Team

  2. Review titled Answer the phone!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Debbie Carter - Posted on 31 July 2023

Dear Debbie Carter Today it had taken 2 days (Friday and today)6 calls to doctors surgery and 4 seperate visits to this pharmacy in an attempt to get a prescription for morphine dispensed. First, they dont answer phone and then get uppity when you go to attempt to collect and dig heels in telling you to comeback. The general public are not mind readers so if we cant get through we wnt know staus of prescription so you cause needless journies that could be avoided if you answered phone. First refusal to get prescription dispensed today was when my independant but terminally ill 73 year old dad went to collect it this morning as he was panicing about it because it was needed for tomorrow morning, he has cancer it was for morphine so the district nurse can do her job. Their response its still in the cloud?? what does that mean to a man in his 70's. He looks fragile due to his illness but he was showed no compassion, then 2 further attempts again on sameday by his son and son in law who both left work to attempt collection and again the pharmacy refused to dispense it, it will be ready at or after 4 even after confirming that they had it. Ok so we now have to leave work or stop work to get it, if a prescription for morphine results in 3 visits to pick it up with no luck there is something wrong?? what constitutes a priority?? we are not mind readers so again answer your phone and this would prevent our time being wasted and your time being wasted turning us away. How is your phone service accessible to the blind or disabled if you cant get through?? numerous attempts at calling on my phone today all straight to voice mail even though when the family members went in the pharmacy today there was no one on the telephone talking there never is???. Shocking service today and its not first time. We now have the prescription after 4th visit, it was needed for 9am tomorrow so my dad can have a pain free chest drain. Only after calling their head office and a regional manager contacted me and became involved did we get a resolution. My mum and dad have used the pharmacy located next to st Heliers doctors for years and omg how much better and friendly the service was under the old managers/owners friendly helpful staff that took time to build relationships with their customers, they remember the helpful lovely staff. I was sharing this saga with a friend this evening and she said oh the fight pharmacy oh theres always problems in there when i have to collect from there they seem to enjoy being rude and unhelpful and omg dnt try and call them....so thank you to the regional manager for sorting but you do need to ensure that the phone service is fit for purpose there are laws on accessing public services and tell your staff most people over 70 have no idea what the cloud is and perhaps review how you dispense potential life saving meds. Our family and certainly not my dad need this stress ever again.

Many thanks for your review and feedback Debbie and we will take your comments on board for the future. I am please that our Regional Manager was able to intervene but apologise that this was what was needed to elicit a successful outcome for your Father. Yours sincerely, Knight Pharmacy Team.
