   I was texted from NHS with news I was eligible for a free flu jab. I followed the instructions on the NHS booking screen and was presented with various options. I selected Kamsons Pharmacy on Brighton Road, Crawley as their opening hours were convenient for me (Monday to Friday, 9-1, 2-6). I arrived at 12.30 and was told they weren’t doing flu jabs until the afternoon and to come back at 2pm, and I said I’d come during their opening hours as listed online, and that there were no special hours for the flu jabs. The woman at the counter then went to speak to the pharmacist, who was sitting behind the counter just behind the front counter and asked if I could get the flu jab now. The pharmacist, who obviously heard me and the interaction when I arrived, without even looking at me said “tell him to come back at 2pm”. Four people in the pharmacy, sitting at desks. Listed online as offering the flu jab. Sadly, very poor service. Zero interest in the customer. I will never go there again.

   Dear Patient, I am very sorry to hear that you are not happy with the service you received at this branch. It is not uncommon for our branches to vaccinate throughout certain hours of the day to allow time for our teams to complete other tasks within the pharmacy such as dispensing prescriptions. I do appreciate that this can be frustrating especially as it was not advertised that these where the vaccinating hours and I do agree that perhaps if the pharmacist was not busy at the time then they could have completed the vaccination. Please do accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused by this and be assured that your comments will be forwarded on to ensure that situations such as these are better handled going forward.
