My 2 most recent experiences have been awful. Last month a "trainee" gave me the wrong medication while filling my prescription. When I told him that was not what I used - he told me "it's what it says on the prescription". I told him it wasn't and to pull the prescription out so i could show him- another employee came out and told him it was incorrect and to correct it. I asked the 2nd colleague if a "trainee" should be dispensing medication if he cannot do it correctly. I was told "i'll speak to him." the second incident happened today. My 81 year old mother has been chasing her medication since monday - and the pharmacy said it is delivered Tues & Thurs. They did not deliver on Tuesday. She called and chased them and they said it would be delivered today (Thurs). The delivery driver "forgot her medication" at the pharmacy. I got a call at 14.35 telling me he had "forgot it" and if someone can come to collect it because the next delivery is on Tues. I told the lady that as it was their "error" surely the delivery guy could collect it and deliver it - as it was only now 14.40. I was told "he can't, but you can collect it". While working, and trying to check my diary she kept repeating this while i asked her to wait so I could check my diary and tell my mum. As my mum had no more of her medications. The lady on the phone was rushing me while i asked her repeatedly to wait while i spoke with my mum. My 81 yo mum now has to go and collect the medication as I cannot leave work before the pharmacy closes and mum needs those medications. An absolute shambles of a pharmacy. If we had a choice we would not be using this pharmacy at all. But unfortunately, our GP only sends online, repeat prescriptions to this pharmacy and we are forced to use them.
