    My mother who is 98 years was prescribed antibiotics for a seriously infected leg. Four days went by and no prescription. The surgery had no telephone connection so I constantly phoned and e mailed the pharmacy to check it was there and being delivered. No response to messages and no answer to calls. I travelled to the surgery from over 50 miles away since her condition was worsening. Managed to get her prescription from the pharmacy and when asked if I had the right telephone no and e mail was told don’t bother we don’t answer either because we are short staffed. Staff were surly and not bothered. Will be moving service dont use.

    We have offered free delivery service for this patient for over ten years. The surgery had no internet connection for over four days to sign prescriptions and the pharmacy was overwhelmed by lots of telephone calls by patients over this difficult time. The pharmacy was not able to dispense any item to this particular patient without any prescription from the GP surgery The prescription finally arrived from the GP surgery in the evening , promptly dispensed and collected by the daughter of the patient on the next day. The delay was caused by the late issue of prescription by the GP surgery. Investigation confirmed that the staff was never rude to the customer as we emphasize on good customer-patient relationship. We tried to explain to the daughter of the patient and she was adamant that, it was a problem caused by the pharmacy. We are not willing to accept the blame and we have consistently provided good services to this patient over the past ten years. Majority of our patients are happy with our services, especially the free delivery services to our elderly and house bound patients. Thank you. Pharmacy Manager
