    Firstly, I have been using this practice for a number of years and have never been treated as rudely as I was today by a member of the pharmacy team. The people I have dealt with previously have always been friendly courteous and professional. I've just returned from trying to collect an emergency prescription that was requested this morning having been told to come in just after 5pm. The person serving me could not find my prescription and, when I explained that it had been an emergency (as these things sometimes can be) repeat prescription, she got very agitated and told me how busy they were. For some strange reason, she chose to do this (and in fact conduct the rest of our conversation) from a distance and behind a colleague of hers who was at the counter dealing with another customer. It was clear that from that distance I couldn't hear her properly and had to clarify what she was saying a number of times due to the conversation her colleague was having. She showed me a container with prescriptions and I thought she said that I should come back in after 6;15pm so, I repeated "come back after 6;15pm?" to clarify. This seemed to incense her further and she continued to tell me how busy they were (still from behind her colleague). I asked whether it would be best for me to call at 6:15pm to find out whether my prescription would be made up and she said "no", again telling me how busy they were!?!?!? At this point I was quite confused as to what I was supposed to do so, asked again whether I should come back at 6:15pm to which she said yes but, said she didn't know whether they would make up my prescription and, once again told me how busy they were. I appreciate that all businesses are busy after a bank holiday period but, do expect them to still be able to offer a professional service. I would expect people in this kind of environment to be sensitive to the confidential nature of the patients/customers needs but no, she continued to talk to me from afar. I was neither rude, demanding or anything else offensive and do not appreciate being spoken to like a disobedient child. This interaction has left me not wanting to return to collect my meds, which I need to take today. Surely this is not how pharmacy staff should treat their customers.
