  1. Review titled wood street e17 noone answers the phone

Rated 1 star out of 5

Ringing the wood street pharmacy is an expensive and annoying experience for customers. The calls go through to a recorded message saying the pharmacy is busy and to call back later. It then cuts out. The cost and time of the calls is quite simple inexcusable. When I finally dis get through the person answering the phone could not find the repeat prescription even though it had been ordered a few times before. That caused a delay and a call to the GP surgery who confirmed it is there as a repeat. Then another x15 wasted and costly calls to the pharmacy finally sorted the problem, but the item was then out of stock?! So although I had given the pharmacy over a week's notice , I did not have any medication for 4 days (creating a gap in treatment). Utterly useless system. The answer to the problem is simple: get rid of the recorded message, answer the phone and talk to the customer.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Tried numerous times to call the pharmacy goes to answer message and disconnects. Have sent emails no reply the only way to get in touch is to go there, very frustrating.

  3. Review titled Telephone calls only connecting to a recorded message

Rated 2 stars out of 5

If the pharmacy is really too busy to answer the phone then let it ring out rather than connecting to a message because the customer is paying for the call,. It is worse when the customer calls again (10+ times ) over a period of 3 days yet still none answers , but the customer still pays for the wasted call each time. A simple solution is for the pharmacy to answer the call or have and use a 0800 numbers; at least the customer wont have to pay for the call(s) which are answered by a recorded message telling them to call back later (and get the same response each time !)

  4. Review titled Frequently shut on Saturday

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by David Yates - Posted on 06 May 2023

Website says open on Saturday morning. Has been shut the last two Saturdays. This is particularly problematic as it is also shut on the following Monday due to bank holiday. Found today that an essential medicine had not been included in my wife's prescriptions and therefore had to arrange an emergency prescription. This is not good service. Missing an item and then being closed on a Saturday when it should be open. Boots were most helpful in sorting the problem.
