  1. Review titled Great Service

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Vendula Alomoge - Posted on 15 June 2024

I was in so much pain today and expected the worst when 111 told me to go to a pharmacy for a consultation but everything went so smoothly today. When I called, they answered straight away. When I showed up, I only had to wait a couple minutes and then a young pharmacist gave me a form to fill out, checked my throat, prepared my prescription and gave me my antibiotics. He was very friendly and professional, in fact both of the ladies behind the counter seemed nice as well. The pharmacy itself could do with a little modernisation but the team are great.

  2. Review titled Rubbish & Dangerous Service.

Rated 1 star out of 5

For the 3rd time in three months & the 5th in 6 months I have had problems. They are incapable of dispensing & delivering a prescription in a Week. Getting them on the phone is almost impossible (& costs a lot .... £5 one month). they used to be great Now I think the worst in the London area, I have about 10 Meds. per month & am about to move to a Decent Pharmacy.

Dear Jim Watson, thank you for the feedback. We have carried out an investigation following your comments about services you have received from Croydon Pharmacy. We checked facts of issues you have raised. Also, we reviewed records, interviewed staff in the pharmacy and our delivery driver. We made attempts on 24/07/2023 to contact the patient by telephone. From the records, we confirm that we do NOT have a patient by that name (abbreviated, JW), who is “… having about TEN meds per month.” Our records show a patient by similar name (abbreviated, JRW) has received SIX or SEVEN items per month in May, June, and July 2023. If you are the same patient (abbreviated JRW), then you are about 70 years old, and you receive free delivery of monthly prescribed items to your home. You do not collect your meds from the pharmacy. Below are facts of the dispensing services to JRW in the three months, once the pharmacy received the electronic prescriptions from the doctor’s surgery: • May - we dispensed seven items on Saturday 20/05/2023 and after sourcing the difficult-to-get meds (e.g., Atorvastatin, Apixaban, etc.) we delivered (1 parcel) to you Thursday 25/05/2023. • June – we dispensed six items over the weekend 16-17/06/2023 and the delivery (2 parcels) on Wednesday 21/06/2023 was returned to the pharmacy, as there was no answer. The next day Thursday 22nd we re-delivered free of charge. • July – we dispensed six items on Tuesday 18/07/2023 and delivered (1 parcel) Friday 21/07/2023 around 4:30pm. The driver recalls the elderly patient opened his window to collect the parcel. Your comments: “For the 3rd time in three months & the 5th in 6 months I have had problems. They are incapable of dispensing & delivering a prescription in a Week.” If you are patient JRW, to whom we service as detailed above, then your comments are too general to be addressed and make improvements or these comments are false considering our service above. Without due process or providing any supporting evidence, you have judged the above service “Rubbish & Dangerous ….” We trust the above service should meet one’s expectation for NHS dispensing and with our free deliveries to patients at home. We will investigate further if you provide specific problem information that is different from the above evidence and available in the pharmacy. We wait to hear from you. Pharmacy Manager Croydon Pharmacy.
