  1. Review titled Unprofessional practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I visited the Claydon Pharmacy for a covid booster that I had booked on-line. After being called into the 'consulting room', there was no check of my personal identity prior to administration of the booster, in fact I was asked no questions at all. I was not advised which booster I was going to receive (usually I have been informed of the manufacturer) and I was not offered or provided with any written information regarding the booster, potential side-effects etc. Overall the experience was very much less professional than I have experienced previously when visiting a pharmacy for administration of a vaccination/booster. I will certainly book elsewhere in future.

  2. Review titled Impatient staff

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I went in today after a prescription had been sent from the doctor's surgery. I am autistic and this affects my communication and so I dread going into anywhere I'm unfamiliar with - the pharmacy being one as my wife normally goes. I was asked how they could help and was clearly struggling to get my words out, I managed "A prescription has been sent over from [the doctor's surgery]" and instead of asking me what she needed, which was my name, I got an impatient head wobble and raised eye brows where the lady was clearly waiting for something else. After a few seconds I realised it was my name. However, this was unnecessary behaviour, and whilst it may be obvious this is what she wants, for me when I am in that unfamiliar situation and speaking to unfamiliar people I often lose my general rational ability to understand or know what people are expecting. Therefore quite frankly I felt incredibly uncomfortable and it makes me not wish to return if this is how I will be treated. Whilst I respect that pharmacies, along with most medical related practices are experiencing longer wait times, less funding etc. and that customers can quite often be unkind or even aggressive I was neither of these and don't appreciate being treated in the manner that I was. Therefore could I just ask that your staff are more understanding and improve their customer service and communication. Just because I may present myself in quite a normal fashion, you don't know how or who someone is behind that. Also though not applicable today, I have both witnessed and been the subject of what another reviewer said below about requesting and saying personal details across a distance within the pharmacy instead of going over to the person or requesting them to come closer to speak.

  3. Review titled So helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Popped in to get my new prescription, was very shocked at new costs as have not had one for many years, then realised I would have to pay 2 charges regularly which I can ill afford. The very kind lady on the counter explained all about HRT prepayments, filled the form for me to get a refund when I had set it up, guided me how to do this and left me feeling much better about the whole situation. Very kind and helpful, couldn't fault the pharmacy.
