As I’m new to the area,with age related conditions, I require a reliable pharmacy , so I started with the nearest A shops a shop, it was clean tidy and well set out (if anything a bit chilly! Probably an oversight?) I was met by a northern lady who couldn’t do enough for me, she was friendly, cheerful and appeared to have an interest ( unlike some others I have met) She was professional with an extensive knowledge of things i could try She asked if I had any allergies? What medication I was on and had I tried this or that I actually felt listened to She had obvious people skills, nothing was too much, she didn’t rush me and i couldn’t help thinking this could be the pharmacy for me ( i can’t say i’ve ever thought that before!) It’s a no brainer I will be back!

The staff are so lovely, friendly and professional - I’ve had consultations and pick up my prescriptions here regularly, and every experience has been so good - I’ve often gone in stressed, worried and in pain and have always come out reassured, having had a really positive experience. The professionalism, discreetness and kindness makes a huge difference - you are treated as a respected person. Today I was worried as I was picking up a new prescription issued by a private hospital and the hospital pharmacy didn’t have it in stock. I’ve wasn’t sure of the process, so I rang CareRx and they had it in stock and dispensed it for me same day, which was amazing as I thought I’d have to wait days for it to come back into stock and travel somewhere non-local to pick it up. There is one lady in particular who is so heartwarmingly lovely, and the head pharmacist is so knowledgeable, professional and friendly! I’ve had medications dispensed in other places previously and have never had service come close to this. They also stock a big range of medical bits, pamper goodies and some stunning candles and difffusers which have come in handy for Christmas. There are always bargains to be had and well priced, affordable basics like shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes etc in their value range which is better than Sainsbury’s next door! Good pharmacies are hard to find, and after popping in today to get a new prescription I wanted to leave a review as I feel like we don’t shout about the good experiences, only the bad. If this place were to shut, I wouldn’t find another like it, so I’m going to make the most of it and support it now while it’s here! Thank you all for all the hard work you do supporting the community. I see how hard you all work!!

Yesterday my mother went to this pharmacy for help and advise. She told me she was approached by a new lady working on the shop floor who asked her if she needed help. Not only did she give great advise she took the time to talk to and reassure my mother and told her to come back and talk if there was anything else she needed to know over my father's health issue which is worrying us all deeply. This is my thank you to her personally and we will all be back using your pharmacy. Lovely service. Lovely team. What a fantastic asset she is to your team

What a turn around. It was nice to be greeted with a smile and a hello can I help you on walking in for my prescription. This lady stopped what she was doing with the shelves and served me immediately. It was lovely to have a chat with her while I waited for my prescription to be made up. This lady is so friendly and helpful. Fantastic service

I hadn't used this pharmacy for the last 6 months and visited last week and was amazed at the transformation. I was welcomed by a new member of staff (the lady with the northern accent, I didn’t catch her name unfortunately) who was very friendly and more than helped with my problem and query. She listened to me and what was wrong and advised to what medication and products would be best for me, I was surprised that she asked me if I was on any other medication but this really put me at ease that she knew the medications and was confident that she knew what she was talking about. It was nice to actually see someone on the shop floor too as I have previously had to wait for someone to come out from the back to serve me. The layout of the shop has also been changed and it was really easy to find everything that I needed as items are now grouped on the shelves in related sections together and not around the shop as they were before. I also bought a couple of special offer items as they were highlighted and stood out on the shelf to me instead of just being in a wire basket like they used to be previously. So overall, I can thoroughly recommend this pharmacy, it has changed beyond recognition since the days when it used to be Lloyds. They’re happy, helpful, knowledgeable and you can actually find things!! Well done Carerx

I visited the Pharmacy yesterday after receiving a text to collect my medication. I have had two new medications prescribed lately. There is a new scheme that the pharmacy will contact you to find out how you are getting on with the new meds, which I find reassuring. Yesterday a mature pharmacist spoke to me about some side effects and explained clearly what abbreviations were and what levels I should aim for with my diabetes and cholesterol. With lots of things nowadays it depends who you get- some people are more helpful and professional. Thank you!

Have previously had numerous bad experiences at this pharmacy, however on my visit today I was greeted by a new member of staff, a northern lady who was happy and smiley and knowledgeable and dealt with me very professionally. It was also nice to see someone behind the counter and serving (not sitting out the back chatting like I have experienced on my previous visits) She is a real breath of fresh air and I will definitely be back.

Horrible service, selling out of date products as well as mislabelling prices. Instead of acknowledging what is clearly their errors, they decided to be argumentative towards a clearly heavily pregnant lady. Please avoid this awful business.

Had to wait well over two hours once the prescription was sent to the chemist. 3 people chatting in the back leaving one poor person to deal with a very long queue. No phone contact number, cash only. Some of the people standing in the queue obviously not well, very very poor.
