Caledonian Pharmacy have supported me for the past 28 years, through thick and thin, through HIV, cancer and minor ailments alike, and always with courtesy and efficiency. It is wonderful that they know me well, are good listeners, and sound problem solvers. I trust their judgement and advice, and in those many years they have not let me down. I expect that is the experience of other customers too, as their attentiveness, respect, and talent shine through. I am a sometimes awkward patient, as I occasionally need untypical formulations of prescription medicines, and they are super-fast in ordering these in for me. Their relationship and responsiveness to my GP practice (Goodinge) is exemplary. Prescriptions go from my GP straight to them, and these are processed really quickly and efficiently. They almost always have what I need in stock and when they don't they are usually available the next day. I especially appreciate that they have a text message alert function, which means I am quickly notified when a prescription is ready for pickup. They also do home deliveries, but I have not needed to use this service. I had my flu jab with them this morning (as I do with them every year) and they always run through the right checklist, to be sure of my safety (eg. allergies - I have none; but the question needs to be asked, even if they already know the answer). They were also efficient in providing Covid travel certificates when these were needed. Overall, I recommend them highly, and feel blessed to have had their consistent, professional and personalised non-judgemental care over such a long time. I am thriving, and in good shape in my 60s, and a lot of that is down to them, in the background but cool, calm, collected, but mostly just very good at delivering a timely and efficient pharmacy service. They never seem to rest on their laurels; experimenting with opening hours to better serve their patients, introducing new services from time to time, and refreshing their infrastructure for instance with new private consultation rooms. As a patient, I am placed at the heart of what they do. This is our NHS at its best and they are an exemplary provider in the system. My huge thanks to the team.
