Today I was sold faulty goods and the man who runs this pharmacy refused to give me a refund. He was happy to take the product away and leave me empty handed but down right refused to give me a refund and raised his voice to me. I never expected this from a pharmacist and have removed this practice from my doctors. I do not recommend this pharmacy at all. Steer clear!!

Dear patient the item in question was correctly dispensed on a NHS prescription and was not sold . you returned and asked for a different device or a refund when this was declined .You claimed the device is faulty .you were advised it is working properly and is not activated by pressing but rather a breath actuated device and the GP may have changed it for clinical reason .It is understandable that You were frustrated that you had paid for a device which you are not comfortable with but please take into consideration 1.nhs prescription levy is a tax paid to the NHS and not money we keep and we are required to levy it and once submitted we are not able to refund .It is only NHS that can refund and only under specific circumstances eg. your exemption status changed. 2.A faulty device is of interest to pharmacists,Wholesalers and the manufacturers as well as MHRA -the regulators and is of clinical significance and we would not only be eager to swap but would be required to record it as incident and submit to manufacturers and NHS england .we haveclinical need and every incentive to swap and we would be reimbursed for the faulty device by wholesalers or manufacturers. 3.we cannot swap one device for another device becuase of regulatory requirements a)we cannot take back a device from one patient to supply to another patient as that would be against the regulation b)we can only supply what is prescribed on the prescription and cannot swap to a different device. I hope this provides some explanation and would be happy to discuss anything further and we hope on reflection you will continue to allow us to serve you. kind regards Ali din
