  1. Review titled 8 days for heart medication!

Rated 1 star out of 5

I used the NHS app to order my heart/blood pressure medication on 3rd April. It was received at Boots pharmacy on 4th (confirmed by staff and my surgery). Having gone in on 12th it still had not been made up and I’ve run out of blood pressure meds. 8 days! Dreadful service and I’ve moved to a different pharmacy.

Had a prescription sent here from my GP for dressings and another item. Went in 2 days layer to collect. To be told cannot dispense anything due to the computer system not working. I left my phone number and asked them to call me back when my script was ready, 7 days later I get a text to say its ready. Partner went to collect the script on Saturday morning, to be told pharmacy wasn't open as they had no pharmacist. And wouldn't have one until Tuesday after the bank holiday. Having waiting 10 days for simple items. And then not to be able to get them is a joke. What about patients with life threatening illnesses, heart problems, diabetes etc etc. Its just not good enough. And the staff just shrug their shoulders and say not our fault..... I was under the impression that all pharmacies have a contract with NHS England to open for a set amount of hours. Who is checking when these contracts are broken????
