    Good experience with the online prescription , timely received call from nurse. Happy to receive timely call from nurse in the midnight

    Whilst isolating with my immuno-compromised husband, there was a mix up with his cancer meds. Despite trying Boots Sixfields at different times of the day, they wouldn't answer - it just kept ringing out, so I had to risk his health by going there. At that point he was extremely vulnerable, but I had no choice. I got to the desk and rang the number, then listened for it. Nothing. I called them out on it there and then as this was dangerous and negligent on their part - I could have picked up a bug and brought it back to my husband which could have had serious consequences, all because they will not answer their phones. Fast forward 4 months and I'm still having the same problem, the phone just rings out and I'm left worrying if our meds are going to be delivered on time. Please do better.

    If you want to waste your day, try phoning the pharmacy. Rings for three minutes, advises there is no one to take your call and then dumps you back to where you began. Gave up after 30 minutes. This was 9:00 on a Monday morning.

    Can get very busy at times but to be expected when they are so good. I have used other pharmacists in Duston and I have not been happy with the service or helpfulness of the staff. But staff at Boots are knowledgeable and helpful as well as efficient and thats why they can get very busy at times. It would be better if you didn't have to queue down the aisles blocking products and store access from other customers and if there was some investment in the access/ waiting area to the pharmacy part of the store. Overall though for me its hassle free I get a text when my medication is ready and then collect. When I have needed advice on other issues staff have been very helpful.
