  1. Review titled Shameful service and damned by their own indifference

On 7 July, via Systmonline, my doctor issued repeat scripts for two of the medications I regularly rely on to be processed by my local Boots branch in North Chingford. Although assured, as is usual, that the scripts would be available for collection within 48 hours, a couple of subsequent visits resulted in being advised that delivery was still awaited. A further visit, some 11 days after the request, resulted in being advised the supplier of one of the items was unable to deliver and so they issued a "dispensing token reprint" (dtr) with the suggestion that I go elsewhere to have the script dispensed. When asked about the other item (an important blood thinning drug) they advised there was no other item awaiting collection. In fact, the dtr listed both items, suggesting the branch already concluded that they were going to pass this back to the customer. This process will now require me, or my wife, to now seek out an alternative dispensing pharmacy further from home, provide them with the paperwork and, since neither of these items are usually held in stock, make a second visit to collect the scripts once available. Both my wife and I are in our 70's and live in a community with a sizeable pensioner population which, one assumes, provide steady business for Boots. It would appear the North Chingford branch is not only failing the community it ought to be serving but, if reading past reviews is anything to go by, is utterly indifferent. It hasn’t had the decency to reply to one posting since June 2022. Says it all really.
