I have several recent experiences of waiting more than two weeks after I have placed an request with my GP surgery for my prescriptions to be dispensed and when visiting the pharmacy to enquire about whether or not my prescription is ready being asked to return at a later date. I was told by staff to ring ahead of time but when I do this the calls are mostly not picked up. On the one occasion my call has been answered I was asked to ring back as they could not access my information.

I asked the pharmacist for advice on what medicine I could buy for a cough while pregnant and got told to go have a look on the shelf myself and see if I can. When the reason I went to pharmacy was because I wasn’t sure what was safe and I know that there isn’t many. I was prescribed with antibiotics with no advice on how to take them. They was very judgmental that I was on benefits and would not help me at with the prescription as I did not understand what to tick as my circumstances have changed. I have autism and I left feeling depressed after not being helped and been made to feel bad. This visit here will affect me for a long time and I will not want to go here again.
