This Boots generally has unhelpful opening times of 9-5:30, already missing everyone who works a 9-5. I've just wasted 30mins of my own lunch break going there and back without being able to pick up what I need because they're closed for lunch between 1-2pm, of which there is no notice anywhere (and supposedly opening hours were updated by the business a few days ago on Google...). I don't know who they are for, but definitely not for your average person, useless. Clearly more staff need to be hired.

My GP emailed my prescription to Boots Broomhill on a Monday afternoon. The following Saturday I queued with several other people outside the door until 2:20 pm (they supposedly open at 2:00). I then had to wait for 30 mins whilst my prescription was made up - 5 days after they had received it. I asked was this normal, to be told that they deal with prescriptions in the order in which they come in. I observed it was as well nothing was urgent, and was told in that case I could phone up and arrange to collect on a certain day. I asked was there a queue? I was told there wasn't really, and I could phone to arrange my collection. So I observed that there is a queue, which customers can jump if they want by phoning up. The assistant looked awkward. Most people around me were collecting their prescriptions without having to wait. I think this is a very poor service and have switched to a different pharmacy. Friends of mine have had similar problems with the same branch. They used to be efficient but have gone downhill. Closing from 1:00 - 2:00 every day is very inconvenient, and on this occasion they did not open until 2:20. Apparently they can only open when the pharmacist is present and she was late back after lunch.
