    Visited here for the last time today to collect the tablets which should have been delivered yesterday. It’s only been 6 months and I don’t think any month has gone by without some calamity! Can’t believe it’s just me!! I now hope they can return my prescription to the NHS spine so that my next pharmacy can pick them up. I won’t hold my breath. I’ve tried hard to support local businesses but sometimes the stress of doing so is too much. Farewell Bilton!

    Following my previous review, the pharmacy were in touch and agreed to deliver my tablets. We established that I would pay for future deliveries. So fast forward a month and I reorder on 20th March using the app. I allow almost two weeks and still no sign of a delivery so today (April 2nd) I ventured into the pharmacy to collect my 7 items. No sign …… then it emerges that the app does not work if you are having medication delivered! So all users need to be aware that the “Manage My Meds” app will tell you that your prescriptions are ready to collect when they are not! You cannot order via the app if you have deliveries. This is a problem as it’s difficult to contact this pharmacy by phone and even harder if you struggle to hear on the phone! The staff here are generally pleasant and helpful and deserve praise for their patience with a faulty system. Anyway, I am promised delivery on Friday and in the meantime I have deleted the app.

    See my previous post and I can confirm that my tablets were duly delivered as promised. So move forward a month and to avoid the dreaded app, I went into the pharmacy to order my prescription. I was told it would be delivered the following Wednesday. I had high confidence that this time all would be well - no app, dealt with a human being etc. I waited in until around 4.30pm and nothing! So I called the pharmacy to be told they had left me off the delivery schedule and I would have to wait until Friday. I said I would collect them on Thursday. It’s reached the point where the stress of dealing with this pharmacy has become too much - I have never known anything quite like it and I don’t know why we are expected to put up with such poor service. Clearly something is very wrong here.

    I ordered my repeat prescription using the “Manage my Meds” app promoted by this pharmacy last week. So when I checked the app this morning, I was pleased to see that it said my items were ready for collection. So today I drove down, parked up and joined a large queue in the shop. After about 30 minutes I reached the counter and after a prolonged search no trace could be found. So the app clearly is of no use whatsoever. I felt sorry for the young lady on the counter so I didn’t show my anger. I can just manage to return although I don’t know how I will know they are ready but the time is coming when. I might not be able to make multiple trips so what then? I need to know that when the system is saying my meds are ready for collection then they really are! I believe that this is simply shambolic and that there must be a better way of obtaining prescriptions. When in Northamptonshire I could request a prescription on a Monday and collect it on a Wednesday. In Bedfordshire I could collect three months worth 24 hours after requesting - this system must be time consuming for pharmacists and it certainly is for patients! Time to seek a more reliable pharmacist I think as this clearly falls below acceptable standards of service.

    I ordered my repeat prescription by phone on Tuesday 24th at 13.02 - my phone log shows this was at the ninth attempt since 10.27 that morning, my other calls either met with the engaged signal or were not answered until timed out. I went to the Pharmacy at 11.03 on Friday 27th to collect the prescription and saw that there was a queue to the door, so decided to do some shopping elsewhere first. I returned later to find one person being served and three people waiting. I stood as fourth in line at 11.42 and left the Pharmacy with my medication at 12.01. During that time only one member of staff served (all three!) customers, which always entailed going behind the partition at the back of the counter for extended periods. At one point I counted eight people behind this screen, but still only one was serving. I would like to say this was an off day for the Pharmacy, but sadly not. This is typical of their performance and regard for customer service. Time for me to look elsewhere. I can only recommend that you do too.

    I rang the pharmacy first thing this morning to order my repeat prescription. My call was answered quickly and my request dealt with swiftly and very politely. Since the pharmacy in nearby Sainsburys closed this pharmacy has been inundated with customers. At times I have had to wait for quite a long time to collect my prescription - however it is abundantly clear that the staff are working flat out, and under considerable pressure. Despite this they maintain a pleasant and professional manner.

    Don’t bother with this pharmacy. Extremely slow, prescriptions never ready, frontline staff take their time and look through you like you are invisible. Last time I waited 45 minutes for the pharmacist to make up my meds! Generally it’s half an hour wait. The staff are on autopilot in terms of ‘We are so behind, there’s a wait!’ Went today, not handing out pre-made prescriptions because pharmacist is on a break. They truly believe we all have the time in the world to sit around on premises waiting. Their service is extremely poor. They should go in of a weekend and get rid of the backlog. That way, when open the following week to the public they will be ready. It’s not science fiction…time they used their brains!!!!

    Went there to collect eprescription, and after waiting 40 minutes was told that they did not have a contract with the issuer of the prescription so it could not be fulfilled. Which of course was utter nonsense, and they should have gone onto the issuers website to gain access to it. Luckily for me, after contacting the issuer, they then contacted the pharmacy, and sorted it out. Prescriptions that have been dispensed seem to be stored at one of many locations, which adds to the general confusion and disorganised manner in which this pharmacy seems to be run. Utter shambles !!!!!!

    As I have for at least eight years I have rang this pharmacy for my repeat dispensing to be made up and delivered.I have been ringing since around 10am and now, at nearly 430pm I have not even got a ring tone. Are they really that busy, or are they just refusing to pick up. If you want us to e mail in our request then tell us to do so. Poor service.

    From 9.10 till 9.45 today I rang the chemist 70 times with no reply. I finally went to the chemist. The lady on the counter firstly said the phone is being answered. I showed her my call log on my phone. Still it wasn’t believed. The pharmacist came round , his attitude wasn’t professional at all…. Raising his voice, a second and third lady joined in. Telling me how hard they are working, which I agreed with, but my complaint was the lack of the phone being answered. Also if you book a prescription in a Monday wanting it on a Friday, go and collect it and it still wasn’t ready. They blame storage of staff etc. They close every lunch time , closed now on a Saturday. This chemist was one of the best, but now it’s awful. The way I was spoken to today was disgraceful. Things need to change asap.
