Myself and my partner booked flu jabs here. These were not free, to be paid for. We booked on line 2 weeks in advance and turned up in good time. We were told that “the company who do it” had failed to turn up. Also various excuses about the “system” not informing them we were coming - not very convincing really. I heard someone in the back room say they were not doing them today. Don’t rely on this service, especially if you book time off work. Very disappointing - I will re book with a competitor.

Review titled Rude staff and often medication out of stock

Unfortunately had more than one bad experience here with a certain rude staff member. Also since the pharmacy moved to where the travel agents used to be - they seem to have less stock and I’ve had to leave a few times without my prescription because they haven’t had it in stock…yet plenty of other pharmacies have had the medication in. Used to be handy as could pop in after doing my shopping - these days I’d rather go elsewhere than be spoken to like that - and most of the times only have half my prescription available.

Arrived at 20:40 and waited in the queue, there was 2 of us left waiting at 20:50 and the pharmacist said to my they were stopping serving so I would have to take the script elsewhere if I wanted my prescription today leaving me to drive around to find a pharmacy for my 2 year olds antibiotics.

Every time I go to collect my repeat prescription from my local Asda store, it is not ready. Every time I ask them why, when I know they already have the prescription from my Doctor, they tell me they don't prepare the prescriptions until we, the customer, go in for it. What? Surely the whole point of having the prescription sent directly to the pharmacy is so that then can prepare it prior to collection. When I questioned this, a lady explained that they get between 600-700 prescriptions per day and can't possibly process them all, so they only make them up as we, the customer calls in for them. I explained that by doing this, they have to handle everything twice and we have to call in twice. Whilst in the pharmacy this time, I picked up a leaflet on the counter (Ref: pharm000917) showing '4 easy steps': number 3 being 'We prepare your medicines'. This is clearly not happening and I suggest Asda remove and destroy all these leaflets immediately for legal reasons.

I found myself in the unenviable position of needing an emergency prescription after running out of my regular medication. After arranging things via 111, I was met by abrupt staff who treated me like I had just walked in and was asking for street drugs. There was no empathy or understanding and I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable.

The service at this pharmacy is terrible; it’s very very slow and when you do get served, I had to make 3 separate visits to obtain my repeat medication. I will look to change pharmacies asap.
