We have previously used the former Higgins Pharmacy for our prescriptions for years without a problem, then the business is taken over by Allied Pharmacy and things changed dramatically! The monthly prescriptions we have submitted have been seriously delayed that I have had to go the pharmacy to pick them up, most of delays resulted in us running out of medication. It happened this week for the last time as I went to get my prescription which I had waited over a week without receiving it, I had the misfortune to complain to a member of staff that was not only rude but tried to tell me I was never due to have it delivered, a complete fabrication, as we both have a delivery service. At no point was there an apology for the problems they caused me. I am changing my pharmacy from this shambles as soon as possible! Avoid!!!

very basic dispensing pharmacy not a place for usual chemist shopping. It is like somewhere from a deprived area in fact it was a bit of a dump with stock on the floor. I booked a covid jab on line for 9.45. I arrived early as there is nowhere to park and you have to find a place in a side street. The person who does the vaccine was in the room doing nothing when I arrived but for some reason they have decided they start vaccines at 10am. So they left me sitting in the dreary place amongst the stock on the floor for half an hour for no good reason till well after 10 till they bothered to give me a vaccine. If you need a covid jab book somewhere else or book after 10.

Have had several visits recently which resulted in a long wait after medication not being delivered as promised. I appreciated that changes had happened and understood that it may take time for service and systems to be up to speed. Most recently I phoned to check that a prescription had received as my Dr had posted it and was told it hadn't been sent. My Dr sent me the proof of signed for delivery but still Higgins said it hadn't been delivered. After another visit and call to Higgins, they found the letter which had been unopened by them for 10 days. This was a stressful time and I had run out of medication. The lady I spoke with made no apologies. When I did attend to collect the prescription I waited 40 minutes to be seen served. Will avoid at all costs and will use an alternative pharmacy from now on.
