Hi, I have to say that I was a little apprehensive going for my first cataract operation. Although I’d read all the information several times my mind still envisioned something like a scalpel moving towards my eye and me trying not to flinch. Obviously it was nothing like that and every member of staff was welcoming and professional. The doctor and theatre nurses were very calming and soothing and I felt absolutely nothing. It was all over in a short space of time and I thank all members of the Spamedica team for their friendly and professional service.

From the "first good morning till the last goodbye", I have been treated with friendliness by all the staff. The cataract operation was painless and took only a little over 12 min. I recommend Spamedica Bradford without reservation. Many thanks to all the Staff.

At my cataract removal all staff very friendly and patient, nothing too much trouble all the way from assessment to surgery. consultant surgeon amazing . Thank you all at Spamedica.

Some of the staff were excellent and we were treated with courtesy and care. Others, unfortunately less so. It would have been helpful if he first person we saw, perhaps the receptionist, had given us an overview of the assessment process, how many different stages there were and how much waiting was involved. The assessment took over four hours! Whilst access to the building for wheelchair users is good, the nearest disabled parking space is some distance away. There is also the issue of wait time. We were pleased to get an appointment for both the assessment and operation quickly. However on the procedure day we were kept waiting for more than two hours!

I visited Spa Medica for cataract surgery. I was very impressed with the care and thoughtfulness of the staff,from start to finish.A very well run and efficient service and very pleasant members of the team.

I had my first cataract surgery back in December 2022 and my 2nd cataract surgery on May 9th 2024. both experiences were quite unexpected. No pain and very quick and professionally carried out with care. All the staff were lovely and caring as they knew we were nervous patients. I now have to have Laser treatment and I feel quite positive about this. Thank all of you.

I found the experience dreadful, three hours wait in operations waiting room, people going in before me that came after me when I finally went through the care was business like and cold the surgeon was unfriendly..I only had two numbing drops before procedure which wasn't enough, while putting instrument in my eye to keep it open he hurt me splashed a load more numbing solution in the procedure was very uncomfortable and I could feel things being done I've had many procedures over the years but this one was very upsetting and traumatic I would never ever use this clinic in Newark again I found most of the staff too busy to be bothered I'll not be recommending to anyone

I had a lens replacement in my left eye to correct the imbalance I've had following cataract surgery in my right eye late last year. I must say the process they have set up here is fabulous. From pre assessment to op was within a month. The staff were all welcoming and the surgeon obviously had read my notes so he was well prepared.. He talked through the procedure smduring surgery so you knew what he was doing and this put your mind at ease. (5 stars). Arrival to leaving to 1 hour 40mins (but you are briefed that it could take up to 3 hours). I would highly recommend them.
