I went to a&e which was followed by a scan and appendectomy. From a&e to pre-op diagnosis, to theatre and Ward a6 I received incredible care! The nurses, doctors and surgeons were all magnificent with me and made a stressful process so much better. I am so impressed by all the staff I met and the way I was treated. I could not have asked for more! It is a lot to go through, genuinely not knowing why I was in pain and waiting to be seen. a&e was so busy but the staff there were first class! They looked after me and made sure I was aware of what was going on and what would happen. The doctors I met before the operation were kind and knowledgeable. They made me feel at ease and aware of the process and timeline. On Ward a6 I met some fantastic people. They cared for me so well I was eventually discharged less than 24 hours after my operation. The staff that cared for me in my recent stay were an absolute credit to the hospital. I am hugely thankful for all they did for me!

I can not highly speak of my experience we had taking our little boy in on his birthday due to a fractured bone x2 - the nurses were outstanding , thoughtful and caring towards my boy, making his trip extra special and even singing happy birthday to him. I can not believe how people leave the waiting room and expecting nurses/cleaners to clean up after them, nurses being as busy as they are and then also cleaning I think is disgraceful, as a human being clean up after yourself. We were treated with the best care , respect throughout our visit! My little boy was so happy even though it wasn’t the best place to be on his birthday. Thank you

I had such a positive experience where I was treated with the utmost dignity and felt listened to and cared for. It was a very friendly place, from the Nurse and the Consultant to the Receptionist welcoming patients. I'd particularly like to mention the lovely man on Reception but don't think I am allowed to mention anyone's name in the review so I won't.

I was worried as I hadn’t had treatment at this hospital before, but the care was amazing. The ward was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly, attentive and explained everything in great detail and in a way that I could understand without being patronising. It is my best hospital experience by far.

My breech baby was 37 weeks and when the labour started, the cord was outside already which was extremely dangerous to the baby. The doctor immediately recognized how severe the issue was and instantly made a decision of having a c-section. Eventually my baby daughter is saved thanks to all the staff's help. When I was waiting in the waiting room, there were some nurses trying to comfort me which I really appreciate it. If it was the NHS my life would have continued with a big regret and sadness so all I wanna say is Thank you so much NHS. You didn't just save my daughter's life, but also my wife and my life.

Visited this hospital today for an outpatient’s appt with my Mother, although obviously the primary concern is the care received which was fine, I have never smelt anything like it in a hospital in the cardiac reception and outpatients, patients were literally sat with their hands over their faces to mask the smell which I can only describe as damp mixed with wet animals. Albeit apparently a good hospital and this does seem minor the smell was vile and needs dealing with by the housekeeping team.

From arrival by ambulance to a&e the staff kept us informed of what was happening and the time scale and the three days she spent in a10 ward the attention by the staff was superb and cheerful.

From the moment I was picked up in an ambulance to when I left I was treated with the upmost care . The department was well overstretched but that was not reflected in my care in anyway,every member of staff gave me the upmost attention! I can not thank them enough they work long unsociable hours and still go above and beyond……. Unlike my GP practice who work regular hours and my last consultation with them I was told I had 10 minutes! At no point in the A&E departmet was i made to feel i was time limited even though they were dealing with literally hundreds of patients! Thank you Wythenshawe A& E

Thank goodness for the wonderful staff at starlight who helped my son through a really difficult time. The staff are all lovely and on the ball, making a really difficult situation as good as can be. The physio service my son received for his lung problems was also amazing. Thank you all for your care.
