Review titled 6 hour wait approximately to see Doctor at a and e
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 30 November 2023
I was taken to an and e after a head injury. Exceptionally long wait to be seen and discharged in my opinion. Bearing in mind I have PTSD and waiting around an and e is exceptionally triggering for my mental health and I don’t like being round loads of people. Although I wasn’t keen on the long wait, the Doctor was exceptionally professional in making sure my head injury was assessed adequately and I didn’t need further treatment for the head injury.

Review titled Great practice
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Daniel Collins - Posted on 02 March 2024
My surgery went well despite ending up in intensive care and then being on a ward for a few days. But when it came to my follow up appointment i got a letter afterwards from the doctor that did the check up and it said that i didn't follow the instructions about not eating, i stopped my eating 12 hours before midnight as it went onto the day of my surgery and i only drank water as was stated in the letter.

Review titled A good experience
Rated 4 stars out of 5

Was at the hospital for a liver scan. I got a pleasant "Good morning" from the lady on reception, and was pleased to see the covid screens on the check in desk had gone. After few minutes I had my scan, the operator was very pleasant and informative. So a good experience as has always been the case for me when visiting the hospital.

Review titled I felt humbled by the dedication of staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Bob Foskett - Posted on 06 October 2023
At 77 years of age I had first ever nights in hospital. I came to A & E with a bad infection and feeling wretched. I was treated with compassion and great professionalism by every single person I met as I progressed through the department. Everyone took the trouble to keep me informed as to what was going on. The conduct of everyone was ememplary. I was admitted onto Ward G 5. Thank you so much to you all. Bob Foskett

Review titled Mostly excellent care
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Nicola - Posted on 14 February 2024
My Dad was only going in for angiogram… he never came home. Whilst most of the staff were very caring and supportive… the initial consultant we were faced with was awful. He had zero empathy and mumbled to the point that we had to ask him what he was saying on many occasions. He had no idea what was happening to my dad and we were left feeling confused, distressed and unsure of what was going on. It was made worse that when my dad went in to hospital he was speaking… when I visited 4 days later he could barely speak. We had no explanation from the consultant as to why that might be.. he looked like he’d rather be anywhere than doing his job. Sadly, my dad passed away 3 weeks later. He was treated with respect and care from the nurses… we are grateful for that. They were also absolutely lovely to my mum , brother and myself. We try and remember that they were so kind and forget the arrogance/ ignorance of the consultant that greeted us at the most difficult time of our lives.

by Heather Price - Posted on 26 August 2023
After being told by the receptionist at my Drs surgery that they were not"an emergency service" when I asked to see a nurse for a gash in my leg,I reluctantly went to A and E knowing how stretched they were. From the minute I booked in to the minute I left, three hours or less,I was treated with courtesy, efficiency, and professionally by the receptionists, nurses and lovely dr who treated my leg..Just cannot praise them enough! They all deserve more than what they are paid,!
