I attended for a DEXA scan at short notice due to a cancellation. From reception to scanning the procedure was managed in a timely and professional manner. The radiologist was pleasant and friendly - despite being very busy she was also patient and helpful.

At 1830, Monday night,23rd of may,I had been referred to north tees urgent care department ,a scan had shown a shadow on each of my lungs. The very excellent staff quickly diagnosed the residents problem,and gave medication for that night,and let me home about 2130,with the instructions that Hartlepool hospital pharmacy had a prescription for me to collect that following morning; today ! I saw the consultant at lunch time today,then went to the pharmacy, for the remaining medication,and was refused, by the pharmacist,saying,"it had been cancelled that morning", by telephone. Her attitude was firm, which,I did not mind, but condescending,when,at the counter,she tried to have me calculate the dosage with her, saying.i had the full prescription, and too many people were involved. I had to prove by photography to home, before she would confirm my case. Both hospitals , I have always found exemplary,and have been dumbfounded by this. Kind regards . I've been to Hartlepool hospital several times over the past year to see doctors in endocrinology, gynaecology and gastroenterology. I've had a positive experiences during every appointment. Each doctor was caring, knowledgeable and kind to me. I felt I was listened to, and believed about my symptoms. Everything was explained clearly to me so I understood, and I feel I was involved in decisions about my care, and overall I'm happy with the treatment plans we decided on. I think all the diagnostics I've had were thorough and got to the root of the problems. Nursing and healthcare staff, as well as non-medical staff were all very helpful and caring, and in general I've found the attitude from people working at the hospital is patient centred and positive. The only procedure I've had at this hospital so far was an endometrial biopsy. I felt the doctor and nurse/HCA were very kind and reassuring to me. The biopsy was carried out swiftly and competently and wasn't as bad as I expected. I feel comfortable having follow-up biopsies from this team. I have other procedures upcoming, and I feel safe and happy to have them at this hospital!

From arrival - check in and the procedure - then the discharge - service and friendliness abound - the endoscopy itself was professionally done with care and attention. I recommend this hospital as the best I’ve experience in the Teesside region.

I attended University Hospital Hartlepool recently for ankle fusion surgery. From reception staff in Access Lounge, to nurses and consultant's I cannot praise them all highly enough. The nurses really put me at ease and made me comfortable through every process throughout my stay. Many thanks to the whole team.

Well cared for and kept informed of proceedings for the short time of my admission by the admin and nursing staff before and after theatre. The theatre team made me feel calm and comfortable, explained what was going to happen talked to me throughout and thus, made the procedure less stressful than I imagined, thank you all. 👏👏👏
