  1. Review titled Fantastic Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 February 2024

I went along a couple of weeks ago with a bad pain in my stomach. I was taken in, in good time and a hernia (albeit not needing emergency surgery) was diagnosed. The junior doctor in particular was fantastic. I also had great service from the Registrar and the Consultant as well as the nurses and their assistants. What a lovely bunch. Five star service

  2. Review titled Great team that are polite and helpful

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I have been on the waiting list for a scan for a surgery coming up. long story short, there was a back and forth of miscommunications and admin errors with my booking that made it extremely frustrating for me to get it booked in. I ended up having my scan booked 4 months post its original date due to the staffs error. Calling daily got me no where as I was constantly told there was no earlier availability for me to get my scan done. It took me to come in person to the imaging department to which I was greeted with friendly and helpful service. I was seen by a gentleman who got my the scan I needed on my desired date, very friendly and helpful. Really appreciated his help

  3. Review titled Organisation for lesion removal

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I was given an emergency appointment for a dermatology lesion removal on Sunday 14January. Since the place where the operation would take place was not given on MyCare app 1 assumed it would be I the dermatology department but they had no knowledge of it. I am disabled and sent walking to places where it might be and given the wrong directions several times. After an hour I sat down in wheelchair at the dermatology entrance and ask someone to find out where my appointment would be and asked someone to find out where my appointment was and take me there in a wheelchair. Turned out, turned out to be in the ENT department. My complaint rests on the lack of communication on the computers and the lack of knowledge of some of the staff who didn’t take into account my disability and having trouble walking. Eventually, the operation was carried out very satisfactorily

  5. Review titled Amazing staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My son had a surgery yesterday at University College London Hospital T 12 south - the staff were absolutely incredible (every last one of them, from the surgeons to the nurses to the orderlies). My son and I were both in awe at their energy levels (utterly tireless!) and how helpful/friendly everyone was. They made what could've been a very tough experience that much easier. Our thanks goes out to everyone.

  6. Review titled Great Hospital, one teensy thing though.....

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ged - Posted on 25 August 2023

I have used this hospital's services for decades and even in the hard 80's it had dedicated staff who went above and beyond. It has improved 1000 fold since then and this despite the kicking the NHS is getting from inept and self-serving politicians. Had occasion to go there yesterday and just wanted to leave a comment that I hope staff will pick up on. It's more feedback than a complaint: I had a 2 hour wait ( which is actually great for a Central London Hospital) and while waiting to be called in to the treatment area ( Triage was done almost immediately ) i was a little put out that staff were coming out with masks on when shouting out peoples names. I am deaf and have to rely on lipreading to see if it is me that is being called and it is impossible to do so through a mask. Even the staff not wearing masks came out said a name very quickly without repeating it so I couldn't check to see if it was my name if I had missed the start of their call. The staff here are excellent and would recommend this place in a heartbeat. I just wanted to bring this to your attention as other deaf / hard of hearing people will use this hospital and it would help immensely if staff could keep this in the back of their minds. Thanks for all the care throughout the years. I'm lucky to have you as my local hospital Sincerly

  7. Review titled Impossible to contact

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Nick Ingram - Posted on 07 June 2023

I was referred with a heart problem in late March, had an echo early April but as of early June neither my GP nor I were given results. Meanwhile, despite my worsening condition, I was given an ‘urgent’ appointment with the cardio team in mid-October. An email to the department has been ignored and all attempts at phone contact result in being cut off or put through to a message system that won’t let you leave a message because the mailbox is constantly full.
