Took my daughter to Childrens urgent care due to injuring her hand during p.e at school.We we’re seen had X-ray and diagnosed within an hour.All staff so lovely,friendly and professional.I feel it is vital to have this service within my home town.Many people struggle to travel to Sunderland and back.

I visited the children's urgent care centre with my daughter after repeatedly contacting the gp and not getting an appointment. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, kind, and compassionate. This service is so important especially for children when gp appointments are so rare.

I took my 1 year old daughter to the children’s urgent care when she started being sick after a head injury. The nurse practitioners were great with her, so patient and understanding that she was only young and didn’t understand what was going on properly. They played with her to help distract her when they needed her observations and made it a good experience. I was only there an hour in total. They gave me medication for things they diagnosed while checking her out and even gave me paracetamol as it was late in the day and she kept spiking temperatures. The staff and nurse practitioners are always lovely and friendly. They never make me feel like I shouldn’t have attended and reassure me it’s what they’re there for. As a person who doesn’t drive but lives ten minutes away from this hospital it’s ideal and means I don’t have to sit hours in Sunderland A&E

I attended A & E as I had been referred by 111 to see a GP in the urgent care centre, however there was no GP on call so I had to wait and be seen by A and E, I found everyone to be really helpful. Although there was a lengthy wait when I was seen the nurses and doctors were amazing, I was given IV antibiotics and follow up appointment given for the following day at the Ambulatory Care Department for follow up IV antibiotics due to a re-occurring infection which my GP does not seem to be doing anything about. I was given scans and the Nurse Practitioner was writing to my GP to advise of the further care needed. Absolutely outstanding care and service provided throughout.

Children's urgent care is vital to South tyneside. The are fantastic with kids, 5* service, very quick and always reassuring parents

i have been on a number of occasions over the past few months adults and children's and i can honestly say the care received on both parts has been outstanding i have also attended other emergency cares within the region and will always choose southtyneside

Advised by 111 to go down, I was triaged, seen and on my way home within 45 minutes. Friendly and helpful staff too
