Came in for diagnostic tests and even though I didn't get great news I have nothing but admiration for the consultant the anesthesiologist and especially the lovely nurse who took care of me when they realised I had complex mental health issues they were amazing caring and so understanding so thank you ward 18 for everything you do

Review titled Great team
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I brought myself into A&E on Thursday afternoon due to abdominal pain and I couldn’t get in at my gp, unfortunately the receptionist didn’t check me in correctly so I was waiting four hours before I was seen but once checked in the doctor was amazing as getting me seen and explained everything to me really listened to me as I had a lot of symptoms and had been in this pain for a few weeks. After bloods, urine sample they knew what was wrong and I was away with antibiotics. I want to thank the nurse for being so gentle and polite and the doctor for really listening and getting to the bottom of the issue. Credit to our NHS

Review titled No sleep or rest.
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 04 March 2024
Currently in ward 23 undergoing observations. Blood pressure, temperature taken every 4 hours making a good nights sleep night on impossible. It's noisy in the corridor outside the ward at night as well with staff talking quite loudly with seemingly little or no consideration for people trying to sleep. During the day there consistent noise from staff talking pretty much all the time in the bay. It got so bad today my wife who was visiting had to ask them to keep it down. I honestly cannot wait to get home to a good night sleep as I believe the lack of quality rest is seriously hindering my recovery and getting quality rest at home will be highly beneficial to myself.

Review titled Good Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I brought my Mum to A & E on Sunday, with her care ultimately being completed by the sdec team. Everything went very smoothly and she received great and thorough care. From the triage nurse, to the porters and the consultants, we were treated exceptionally well

Review titled A and e..
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Staff fantastic but seating needs rearranging..being face to face with poorly people is not ideal especially people vomiting . Chairs should all face one way. Vending machine doesn't offer a water option or a full fat drink..lots of people allergic to sweetners in fizzy drinks. Two televisions but not switched on. Just some soothing music would be appreciated. But must say all nurses and doctors were so kind and friendly

Review titled A&E
Rated 3 stars out of 5

Attended A&E recently for palpitations and although wait time was not the best (completely understandable its very busy) I actually felt listened to by a Doctor for the first time in my life. Instead of being brushed off for "anxiety" they suggested I could have a condition called PoTS. Thank you for making me feel heard.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The staff here are flat out amazing. I had a planned c-section and without fail every member of staff who dealt with my case was outstanding. They should really pride themselves on their patient relations.

I attended A and E with a badly cut leg which had been bleeding profusely. Every member of staff I interacted with were sensitive, professional and kind. Thank you A and E, particularly the lovely Nurse who put me back together again…
