Review titled Service Beyond Expectation
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Stephen Skinner - Posted on 28 February 2025
I recently attend the A&E department of the Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford. I had called 111 and they decided that I needed to have and x-ray as the damage to the back was not looking good. The service from 111 was excellent, we were kept informed and this was carried out in a very timely manner. The Paramedic Practitioner was through and as I could not walk with the pain, called an ambulance to take me to the Royal Surrey. Once in I was I was checked by all and then the Register, made the decision that I should have a CT scan of the back. This was done and an all clear result given. In the time I spent in A&E I was treated with full care and attention, everyone made you feel that you were important to them. A special thanks also to the Ambulance Team of the three ladies, who were brilliant. I award the whole system from 111 to then end 11 out of 10! Thank you very much to everyone involved.

Review titled Caring, professional and competent - thank you
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Begum Bidik Nash - Posted on 18 February 2025
I have been with Royal Surrey maternity services for my second child for the last 9 months and have just given birth this weekend. I wanted to send a message of thanks to everyone involved in my and my newborn’s care, from community midwives, to St Catherine’s and Shere Ward staff throughout my pregnancy. They were amazing at all points and a pleasure to work with. I was induced at 40+2 and my delivery team was wonderful. I can’t remember all the names, but my assigned midwives who were amazing, including student midwives and delivery teams who were total stars and deserve their qualifications 110%. The anaesthetist and consultants and lead midwives who were examplary professionals while delivering a super caring and personal experience. Even dinner ladies and supporting staff were joys to be with over the weekend. I can’t thank them enough. This was my second child after my first born experience at another Surrey hospital, and I can totally see the difference in the level of care at Royal Surrey Hospital, which was nothing short of fantastic. Again please do pass on my huge thanks to all the individuals who were with me and my family on 15-17 February 2025. Keep being amazing.

by Jessica Door - Posted on 26 February 2025
The SDEC team have an absolute gem working alongside them and I am very grateful for his care today. Thank you to the male senior HCA for making me feel listened to and cared for. I was feeling anxious about the hospital setting following previous experiences and he eased my concerns. A genuinley kind soul. Thank you so much

Review titled Good but did not meet expectations
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 February 2025
I attended the Royal Surrey County Hospital for an MRI scan. The staff were courteous, I was dealt with promptly and all seemed to run smoothly. However, contrary to what was promised in the pre appointment literature, nobody spoke to me at any stage whilst I was in the scanner, I could not hear the music which I had been offered and the staff member to whom I subsequently spoke could give me no idea about when results might be available. I found the lack of human contact during the scanning process particularly disappointing given the somewhat daunting sense of isolation whilst in the scanner.

by Rosemary Sheppard - Posted on 09 February 2025
Thank you A&E for superb treatment today. I am sorry I didn’t check the name of the nurse but she was brilliant and thorough in her treatment of my bruised face after a fall in town. Also the radiologist was very kind doing the xray. Thank you so much.. we were home in about 2 hours. Very grateful.

Review titled Insomnia Team
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Caroline - Posted on 12 February 2025
I was so happy to be referred to the Insomnia team, having suffered from very poor sleep over a long period of time. The sleep consultant was so patient, kind and caring and clearly had a lot of experience in this field. I did engage in the programme (mostly!) and actually have seen positive results. My sleep is definitely better thanks to all the tips and advice, videos and documents provided by the team. As I told her, I no longer worry about going to bed as I am more confident I will sleep and this is a big shift for me. I have made changes to my routing as per the advice and hope to improve my sleep more in the next few months. I would like to thank her for her patience, help and encouragement.

Review titled MyCare Patient Portal
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 February 2025
I got a few texts asking me to sign up to MyCare Patient Portal after a trip to A&E a couple weeks ago. I just signed up, and noticed my allergies were not listed on my health record. I tried to send a clinical message to amend my health record but every time I try to start a new message it says page not found. Please fix this. I did state my allergies when I visited A&E so I'm surprised they're not listed, especially since my blood pressure reading is showing for that day.

Review titled Great staff
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Katy Humphreys - Posted on 17 February 2025
I had a family friend receive awful care with his lung cancer diagnosis so I was terrified when my father had to come to the royal Surrey for his first immunotherapy treatment however the staff at St Luke’s ward couldn’t have been more friendly and informative. They provided lots of information and made me feel really comfortable that my father was receiving great treatment. I didn’t get the names of the staff but we were in bay 4 in the afternoon of the 9th February.
