  1. Review titled Impressive experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Roger Crabb - Posted on 15 May 2025

On 12th May I was sent by my doctor to Royal Surrey A&E for Heart analysis. I was speedily moved to the Major unit and was impressed by the friendly , cooperative and professional manner in which things were discussed with me and a series of tests progressed in an informing way. In the end I believe a Consultant from the Cardiology unit fully studied the results and informed me of the outcome and follow up treatment. It was also pleasing to observe the friendly way in which staff cooperated caring for patients and discussing options. A huge thankyou to all.

I would like to send a heartfelt thanks to the Drs and Nurses in A&E on Sunday and specifically the whole team in Wisely ward. They all were so wonderful as my Dad died and we could not have wished for a better, more caring approach. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It meant the world to us.

  3. Review titled Excellent practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by andrea millwood hargrave - Posted on 02 May 2025

Insomnia Service: Started in September 2024, through a series on online meetings and accompanying videos providing supportive and effective strategies to improve sleep, I have come to a place where I am sleeping better and feel hopeful about my sleep patterns. I accept that there may be (re)lapses but am reassured that I can go back to those strategies to find my way forward again. I cannot commend highly enough my 'support' who was patient and calm and gave me space and the security to be open about how I was feeling, and offered strategies and suggsetions to help me move forward. I also must commend the videos which are presented - with calm authority - but also gentle humour (important for me). Thank you, Team, and I hope not to have to be in touch again! :-)

I had to have an ultrasound and hysteroscopy. At both appointments I received exceptional care and kindness. The advice was clear, comprehensive and informative. The care from everyone involved was professional, caring and exceptionally kind. My heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff.

  5. Review titled Excellent care from the Paediatric Team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 May 2025

Just wanted to thank the whole paediatric team for their excellent care of my young son. So patient with a very emotional and grumpy toddler - handing out stickers, helping to carry bags/push prams, playing with him and reassuring me. Clear, kind, useful advice and true care for patients despite clearly working extremely hard and under pressure. Really appreciate this time and effort. Thank you!

  6. Review titled Insomnia Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I'm so grateful to the insomnia team for helping me improve my sleep patterns, and for their kindness and patience. My sleep quality has significantly improved since I started therapy. I feel much better now. It hasn't been easy, but it's been worth it. I’ve learnt a lot about the sleeping process, which has given me a better understanding of what’s going on when I struggle to fall asleep. This knowledge has made me feel less anxious about my sleep. I've also developed some good habits for my evening and morning routines.

  7. Review titled Excellent service

I have just received 5 days radiotherapy as part of my breast cancer treatment at the St Luke’s Centre at the Royal Surrey. The facility itself is clean, bright and comfortable. Without exception, all the staff were warm, welcoming, courteous and professional. They kept me informed throughout on what was happening and their calmness and kindness helped reassure my anxiety. Thank you all so much for what you do, you are doing excellent work.

  8. Review titled Lovely staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ross Moore - Posted on 16 May 2025

Whilst a visit to urology is never fun the staff were all lovely and made the visit very easy. Thank you. My only recommendation would be better signage from the main building, or put a map in with the letter. Thanks.

  9. Review titled Considerate and kind radiographer

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Emily Fulleylove - Posted on 20 May 2025

I took my 7 year old daughter for a hip XRay today and the radiographer was fantastic. He was kind to my daughter without being patronising. Both my daughter and I felt safe and clear about what was going to happen. He took extra care to keep her dignity and privacy. He spent a good 5 minutse looking for a sticker for her afterwards and when we said please don't worry (she was fine and we didn't want to take more of his time), he was apologetic. Thank you to him, and for the department, for making us feel comfortable and safe today.

  10. Review titled Bad experience of booking appointment

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Dr Tanmoy Chatterjee - Posted on 14 May 2025

hi, i wanted to report an issue i am facing currently for booking an appointment with the haematology department at the royal surrey hospital. i am having to exchange several emails everyday with the secretary to reschedule my appointment and still haven't managed to find a feasible appointment slot. the problem is that he does not seem to read the entire email and replies on a part of my email regarding available schedules, earlier appointments, etc., requiring repeated email exchanges. instead of june/july, i am being offered an appointment in september. i haven't heard back on my enquiry if an afternoon slot on 28th july is available? i think the experience would have been much more seamless if i could book an appointment via nhs app looking at available slots. i thought before giving up on this, i would provide my feedback and report this to the nhs team at royal surrey hospital with the expectation if i could be offered more help. i sincerely hope this leads to a fruitful solution in terms of my timely medical treatment. looking forward to your support. dr. tanmoy chatterjee university of surrey
