  1. Review titled Urology Department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dave Edwards - Posted on 24 August 2023

I had my annual check up, after receiving Kidney surgery with the Urology department today. The Department has moved from Broadgreen Hospital to the New Royal Liverpool. I am pleased to say that the treatment I received, continues to be of the highest quality. My Consultant was both compassionate and friendly, which instantly puts you at ease. The staff who took me for my Ultra Sound Scan and the reception team were also first class. I would highly recommend the Urology Department to any patient requiring their services.

I attended the new Royal Hospital today for my check up following my successful surgery. The Consultant Surgeon and also the Endocrine Specialist Nurse, were both quickly able to put me at ease. They were both compassionate and caring. Their outstanding manner with patients is a joy to behold. Thank You!

  5. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Susan Calvert - Posted on 29 June 2023

Yesterday I ended up in A&E instead of the Cavern club. I was a Day Tripper & something in the way I moved my shoulder led me on a long & winding rd to your door. I couldn't let it be & I needed your help. Whilst some lovely Liverpudlians helped me put my feet back on the ground, I did appreciate the A & E staff being around! Whilst I did go here, there & everywhere from the lovely receptionist to ANP, Radiographers & then back to the ANP it did show how well a good team can come together. I am grateful that I had no concussion so I didn't see Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds but I would say I Loved You Yeah, Yeah Yeah. Thanks for enabling me to visit the Cavern Club the following day which I also loved. Keep up the good work.

Dear Ms Calvert, Thank you for your kind feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to send it and are pleased to hear about your positive experience in A&E and how the staff went above and beyond to get you back on your feet. We are pleased to hear that you were able to complete your journey and will pass on your compliments to the A&E team. P.S. Lovely references to the Beatles. Many thanks,

  7. Review titled Staff were impeccable

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Efstathios Tavlaridis - Posted on 16 February 2023

Can't fault the staff of the ward, brilliant really great; food was good Dr's were great etc only one niggle was waiting to be discharged was a complete breakdown on communication between pharmacy and nurses don't blame ward staff on 8 at all but that 4 hour wait and no word is nothing short of diabolical and another profession could lead to dismissal. Other than great to doctors nurses and The ward team care was great it's not your fault and I'd be honoured if I was under your care again

Unfortunately, the only Cafe area did not provide de-caffinated hot drinks which is unfortunate for anyone with heart problems

Thank you for raising your concerns with us, sorry to hear you had trouble finding de-caffeinated drinks on the day of your visit. I am sure the Starbucks on the lower ground floor offers decaf options, we also have Lavazza coffee machines on the lower ground and ground floor now which provide decaf options. Many thanks.

Following my appointment, with the Endocrine Surgery team. I would like to say, It was of the highest standard possible. The care and compassion shown to me was truly impressive. I would highly recommend the department, and feel certain that anyone who is referred to them for treatment will feel the same. They are an absolute credit to the NHS.
