Review titled Excellent
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Karen Wood - Posted on 07 May 2023
I arrived @ A&E at 2.30pm, with severe sciatica, it was extremely busy so knew I was in for a wait ( which was expected). I met some lovely people who were also waiting but also experienced the time wasters. Two very lovely HCA’s ( whom I’m not allowed to name unfortunately) came & took mine & other’s observations, they made me a coffee, topped up my water and provided much needed pain relief. We also chatted about donating blood I was triaged & much later saw a doctor who was lovely and very understanding of my pain level & symptoms, ordering an MRI instantly. Unfortunately I had to wait many hours for an ortho doctor to see me as they were busy elsewhere with more poorly people. The A&E staff looked me & us all so well, providing drinks, sandwiches and keep in me updated with time scales as best as they could. At 6am I was transferred to a ward. I would just like to say what an amazing team in A&E you have thank you for taking great care of me

Review titled Long waits at pharmacy
by Frustratedbyineficiency - Posted on 18 May 2023
Yet another nearly 4-hour wait at this hospital pharmacy! 2 hours waiting in line whilst my wife sits in her wheelchair in the busy main hospital corridor opposite! This has happened 4 times so far since my wife was diagnosed with lung cancer in November and today yet another wait.....yet more excuses. At a meeting with my wife's oncologist yesterday we were given a note to collect a prescription......I begged the oncologist to make it open so that we could obtain the medications from our local chemist, but apparently Pride Pharmacy is the only one the hospital can use. The waiting times continue! Coronavirus is still with us! Many people ignore the Mask signs! People cue for medicines in this unhealthy environment.......and it is call a hospital!
