  1. Review titled Really needs to improve

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Dominic Cox - Posted on 18 September 2024

I received a text message giving me a telephone appointment time of 13:00. I made arrangements so that I would be free to receive the call at the appointment time. The next day I got a letter telling me that if the appointment is in the afternoon I may be called between 1.30pm and 6.30pm. So I now have to make further arrangements to accommodate this. The letter states that I can change the appointment online at enherts-trdotnhsdotuk "and follow the link". No indication of which link. The only choice which seems relevant is 'Change or cancel my appointment' then 'E-Referral Service (Ers) for new appointments' but I need a booking reference number and a password or access code which I don't have. The other option - the Patient Hub - is not operational yet. (Ers would be in capitals, but that's not allowed!) So I tried calling the number given. That too gives the message that I can change my appointment online. Otherwise I'm twentieth in the the queue! Please can you make this easy to use; keep your information accurate, up-to-date and helpful instead of inaccurate and vague. Why when I type in wwwdottellusmoredotorgdotuk do I get a list of choices from Google, not a website for the url (url would be in capitals, but that's not allowed!)That? These services are aimed at people who are ill and really don't need any extra stress. Does anyone who sends out these letters actually try the urls to see that they perform as expected? (url would be in capitals, but that's not allowed!)

  2. Review titled Contacting the Cardiology Department

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Frank Bowron - Posted on 23 September 2024

The cardiology department is very good, but unfortunately, if you need to contact them, this is impossible. The phone system redirects you to another number - 01438284444 - but after half an hour in the queue they answer by saying you have to call Cardiology and cut you off.

I cut the top of my head open so went to A&E and from the start to finish everything was very efficient and I was very well looked after. I would like to thank the team and say how much I appreciate their efforts

  5. Review titled SDEC (Same Day Emergency Care)

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by NHS key worker - Posted on 29 August 2024

The SDEC entrance at Strathmore Wing is open from 8am and closes 8pm everyday. I noticed this morning that it was 8:10am already and the entrance has not been opened. I attempted to knock a couple times and even made eye contact with one of the ward clerks there but pretending not to do anything about it and got completely ignored.Very unprofessional and rude. Considering I work in the NHS. Please work on this.

Had a short stay in the gastro ward alongside AMU and SDEC. All the nurses are absolutely fabulous very kind, caring and supportive. The ward staff also do a wonderful job. The care at lister is amazing and cannot recommend the staff enough. Please keep up the great work - you make a huge difference in patient care just by doing a good job

  8. Review titled Met with a smile. Minimum waiting. Perfect experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jackie - Posted on 06 August 2024

Level 4 appointment for small BCC on my ear on 5th August. Greeted by a smiling receptionist then shown to a comfortable chair and offered biscuits and a drink. After confirming details with a nurse the doctor discussed alternative treatment which eliminated a skin graft. Thank you. Procedure went well with very friendly caring staff and even given a sandwich afterwards. This is the standard of a private hospital. Much appreciated

  9. Review titled Terrible experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 December 2024

I recently had a long couple of stays at Lister and encountered multiple issues. I dealt with multiple dismissive and un-empathetic doctors. Had doctors not take my symptoms seriously I was sent another patients results and medical paperwork. I received someone else's drugs in my discharged medication A doctor told me I was pregnant as a 'joke' when giving me abdominal CT scan results, which was incredibly inappropriate. Levels of cleanliness widely differed Lack of communication and terrible organisation Witnessed agency staff practically ignoring patients needs Witnessed other patients having to help other patients due to a lack of staff or interest from the ones who were there Weekends become notoriously worse in terms of care I had a bad reaction to drugs, had a panic attack and was totally dismissed by a nurse and just told to get back into my bed Treatment was delayed and changed resulting in worsening health I did receive good care from a handful of nurses who would go above and beyond and I was very happy with my surgeon and stoma nurses but overall would go as far as saying my stay was pretty traumatic and I felt very unsafe at points.
