My son is 19 and had a scheduled operation, the staff in the recovery were amazing and the aftercare was really good, offering toast drinks constantly and were very friendly and professional and caring, it was greatly appreciated.

  2. Review titled Answer the phone please.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Just a quick comment. Ward 15 refused to answer the phone numerous times in one day, even after the operator tried for me, so I was unable to get any update on my Mum who was a patient. I find this upsetting and inefficient.

I had to attend casualty with my Mum on Sunday. I don't often leave a review but the service was so thorough and the staff so kind and professional I just wanted to say thank you.

I had to visit A&E yesterday morning. From the ambulance men to every member of staff who helped me they were professional, calm and very kind. I just wanted to say thank you, they made a scary experience not so daunting.

  6. Review titled Outstanding

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Paul Hulme - Posted on 22 April 2024

I have been visiting Leighton Hospital for what for me, was a major operation (Gall bladder removal) for several months. I received outstanding attention from all the doctors, nurses, anaesthetists and all the other NHS staff who cared for me, and they really did care. They were not just going through the motions and doing a job which they were paid to do, because NHS staff are paid at a shamefully low level, they are not doing it for the money. I am really impressed by the way I was treated. Thank you Leighton Hospital.

Just had a cataract procedure this morning, made to feel comfortable in a very calm environment. The staff are amazing from pre med to finish. A very big thank you to everyone, I’ll see you in a few weeks for the other eye. Can’t thank you enough.

Attended A&E minors today after a fall while on a recent holiday. The service I received from start to finish was excellent. The consultant who looked after me was friendly, efficient and clearly explained treatment for my injury. ( Sorry I forgot his name) The whole visit took two hours... I'd expected to spend the day there! Thank you.

  9. Review titled First class treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Christine Kimpton - Posted on 13 March 2024

Having had an operation on 30th September by an excellent surgeon I have received first class treatment for many months from all staff mainly the staff nurse and other nurses who treated my wound with the utmost care and attention. The staff nurse who treated me was always friendly and made me feel at ease at the same time being very professional. It’s been a long haul with the healing process but now coming to an end and it’s all down to the most caring staff nurse and other nurses who have treated me through these months. I can only show my appreciation by saying a very big thank you to the Orthopedic clinic and the brilliant staff who work in this department. Thank you

  10. Review titled Waiting time of 40 weeks plus

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 April 2024

I was referred by my GP on 18 March 2024 the letter and NHS app both said don't progress until 25th March. Today 2 April I find out that although the NHS app says no triaged yet that is not the case. A consultant has looked at referral and decided without discussion with me that I'm not urgent and the waiting time will be at least 40 weeks. I was told by booking that you are still dealing with patients like me from August 23. How can this be any service whatsoever? I don't recall being allowed to with hold NI contributions when interest rates went to 18% in 70s.
