    Luckily enough I don't use the phlebotomy department many times. So today I was pleasantly surprised how helpful & efficient they were. There seemed to be a lot of patients this morning but the staff were non stop. The department run extremely well. Big 👍 Rae Fields

    first of all i would like to thank the staff at corbett's seeing me when i walked in for a blood test. beforehand I printed the latest information for blood test off the dudley nhs foundation website which gives a list of walk in and appointment blood test centres, it states the following. corbett outpatient centre (pre-booked appointments or walk-in’s only) guest outpatient centre (pre-booked appointments or walk-in’s only) I left work and when i arrived at corbett's at 8.00am i was told that it is now appointment only and then that was clarified again when speaking to the nurse. If i had known before hand i would have booked n appointment, i wish the nhs dudley would update there website and inform their staff and gp's of this, i do not appreciate being spoken down to in a demeaning way when following the info on the nhs website.

We are sorry to hear you felt a staff member spoke to you in a demeaning way. It was also disappointing to note that the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust’s website information was not up to date with regards to walk-in and booked appointments. By way of action into the comments that you have provided, we have shared these with the phlebotomy team leader to remind staff to be polite and professional at all times and also requested that they review and update, where required, information on the Trust’s website, to avoid any future issues such as yours.     The NHS gets a lot of criticism lately but I have nothing but praise for the treatment I've received on a number of occasions over the last 2 years. This is particularly evident at a recent flow test failure I undertook where the nurse not only arranged for me to return for a retest outside of her flow test clinic hours but also phoned me on the morning to ensure I was going to attend. Thanx to all the staff and especially the nurse during my recent appointments.

    On telephoning to cancel and rebook an existing appointment, the receptionist, asked why I was cancelling. I told her I had a telephone consultation already booked that clashed with their appointment time. Not satisfied with that information, she continued to ask me questions who it was with , pushing me for an for an answer. Reluctantly I told her it was with the DWP. To which she retorted 'oh? and that's more important is it!' I replied I don't think it's any of your business anyway. Do people really have to provide info on their personal business in order to cancel an appointment? Absolutely no need for that demeaning rude attitude.

  6. Review titled Delighted with outcome

    Having been pushed from pillar to post in another area for sixteen months, we had the good fortune to encounter a two superb staff members who together took the initiative to investigate and ascertain what needed to be done. They went over and above the call of duty to do this, and we can’t thank them enough. Superb staff!

    Had text from gp with tel nos to arrange xray. Corbett hosp. Checked opening times tried one number, Closed. Tried other number given no reply. Rang 01384 456111 spoke to receptionist gave me number for Guest hosp who arrange appnts at Corbett hosp. Guess what no reply. What am I supposed to do now?

    I had a great first visit! However, the second was dreadful. I was seen by a different person this time. I was spoken to poorly and was patronised. I was made to feel small and dumb. It was so hard to sit in the room with this dermatologist. I was incredibly rude of them to say to me 'it's not rocket science' and rudly asked me if I even knew what patch testing was, which I very much did! I never want to be seen by this person again. It's such a shame as my first visit was great. I'm glad I don't have another appointment booked. It was not helpful and waste of my time. Gutted.

    I have had to wait since March 2023 to be seen regarding a blemish on my leg which suddenly grew and became darker and uneven in colour. After going back to my GP about the non- communication from dermatology. She acted swiftly and l was seen by a hospital Dr who was very helpful and pleasant and confirmed a biopsy was necessary. I notice from your leaflet that an appointment would be made whilst at the clinic. I have heard nothing yet and the Dermatology dept is not answering the phone after several days of ringing them. As my family has a history of stomach, womb,bone,bowel and lung cancer surely l can get more assurance and communication than l am experiencing. I feel very much as if there is no help available.
