Review titled Gentle approach
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 June 2025
The phlebotomist who took quite a lot of blood from me today had a gentle manner and was very adept at taking blood without my hardly feeling it at all, she was very good at her job and I was really grateful for her expertise.

I had hysteroscopy on 18th January and they said will receive the biopsy result in2 weeks, now I have not received that now after more than one month while I am so worried about the result no one replied me about it .very disappointing. By the way all staff for my surgery were so kind and helpful and I am very thankful to them.

Review titled Pharmacy staff lack basic knowledge
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 December 2024
Pharmacy staff at chase farm hospital made a basic error which indicates they are poorly equipped for the role. I politely highlighted the error as it needed it to be rectified but I was quite shocked at their behaviour which followed. They became defensive and rude and said things to me that were completely untrue. They blamed me by saying I had given them the wrong information and that is why they had made the error. This was quite insulting as I had not given the wrong information and clearly they were trying to cover up their mistake. It was unprofessional how they were trying to embarrass me in front of a room full of people. I would have been quite happy with a simple apology but instead I received a barrage of mistruths which I found personally insulting. It was quite clear to me that the pharmacy staff at chase farm hospital are poorly trained, not only did they display a lack of basic pharmacological knowledge but they also did not have the basic fundamentals of customer service. I would have been quite happy with a simple apology but instead received a barrage of mistruths which I found personally insulting. The hospital management should be very concerned about the negative culture within that department.

Review titled Very traumatic post op care
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 14 December 2024
The medical staff was friendly, but they are probably unprepared professional for post op care. They couldn't find my veins to attach cannula, my arms were full of bruises. Eventually, they decided ți give me pills instead of drip . I had high fever for 4 days, and I had to beg them for antibiotics, I had very bad headache, I was given blood thinner , so I was at risk of having a stroke. They were looking at me and not knowing how to react .Eventually, after I begged them ,they gave me antibiotics, and my situation got better. I stayed one week in the hospital, nobody cleaned the toilet or the floor for 7 days. The surgeon and his team were brilliant, I am very grateful, the operation was a success, but the post op care was traumatic and unprofessional.

Review titled Shockingly Awful Care
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 June 2025
I first attended the clinic in July 2024 due to pain and swelling. After a Mammogram, Ultrasound, MRI and Biopsy I was informed that my breast implants (which were originally inserted by the NHS) have ruptured and need to be removed. Initially, I was told that surgery would be in a couple of weeks. However, at June 2025 I am still waiting! No one has seen me in person since September 2024. I had a pointless telephone appointment in November 2024 where I was told to sit tight and wait. Having tried to chase up with the department (voicemail system) I finally had a call back in March 25, when I was again told to just keep waiting and was then offered phone numbers to counselling services. When the email arrived, the contact were all for cancer care which is not appropriate. Nearly a year after the initial bad news I am now still waiting for surgery to remove the implants. Pain and discomfort are increasing but nobody seems to care. Shockingly awful level of patient care!

Review titled Lovely and kind
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 November 2024
Attended for blood tests. I have a pretty severe hospital/needle phobia and was in a state of mild panic throughout the experience. The Dr was kind, helpful and calming - taking time to check I was OK and ensuring everything went smoothly. An experience I was dreading became pretty straightforward. I really appreciated that little extra time and energy taken which made such a difference to my day. Thank you.

Review titled Inconsiderate, unhelpful and disorganised

During a routine mammogram, scan and biopsy at my home country (Greece) a cyst with possible presence of endocrine papilloma was discovered on my left breast and the doctor in Greece suggested a removal. On my return from Greece I visited The GP who referred me to the breast surgery at Chase farm hospital and I must say I was given an appointment fairly quickly. During my initial appointment on the 18/10 they repeated the mammogram and the scan and they also took a sample for biopsy. The Doctor explained to me that there is a possibility that results may be inconclusive and I may need to provide the test results from Greece without explaining the cost. I received a date for a further appointment at chase farm hospital for 8/11 to discuss my results and so far i was impressed with the efficiency and with how serious this is taken. Unfortunately it all went the wrong way after that. On the 8/11 I took the day of work and about 1hr before the appointment I received a call from the breast surgery informing me that I do not need to visit the hospital as my results were inconclusive and the scan shows malignancy but the biopsy benign. They requested that I provide the test results from Greece but on an official translation that costs £200 and when I explained that I cannot afford that they said that they would send me a letter to which I could respond so they could follow a different route in Order for this to be resolved. 2 weeks later on 22/11 I called the breast surgery again as I was still waiting for the letter and again they requested the official translation and I explained again that I cannot afford the £200 and again I was told to wait for the letter. On 3/12 I called again the breast surgery as I was still waiting for the letter and I didn’t know what to do and I didn’t have my results and I was getting very worried again. Again I was told they need an official translation and again, I explained I cannot afford it so they told me again to wait for the letter. Today 15/12 nearly 2 months since my initial appointment and I’m still waiting for a letter and the results of my biopsy. I feel that the hospital is completely inconsiderate of peoples circumstances and they expect me to be able to pay when instead i should be receiving free health care as a citizen on the UK for the last 12 years. They are completely inconsiderate of my feelings especially when the subject could be potential cancer. they are completely disorganised and this situation is possible delaying me from receiving treatment. I’m planning on raising an official complaint as these people are playing with my health and this is really affecting my psychology.

I recently had lipoma removal surgery at the Chase Farm Hospital 7th October 2024. I’m very grateful that my surgery went very well and this is all thanks to the ENT Consultant and his exceptional work. The aftercare was excellent, the Staff were very friendly and attentive to my concerns and most importantly I felt that I was looked after. Kind Regards Abdul Tameem Sherzai

Review titled Worst practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 October 2024
I recently took my daughter to see a Dr due to her persistent cough, wheezy breathing, high temperature and vomiting. Despite her high temperature and known history of asthma requiring an inhaler, I felt that the consultation was not thorough. The Dr listened to her cough but ultimately did not prescribe any treatment or offer further guidance, which left me feeling concerned and frustrated. As a parent, I always try to manage minor issues at home before seeking medical advice, but this experience did not provide the reassurance I was hoping for. I expected a more proactive approach given my daughter’s symptoms. I hope future patients receive the attention and care they need.
