I just felt compelled to leave a review after the fantastic treatment I received yesterday morning at the MIU. From the person on reception, to the nurses and GP, everyone that I spoke to was so lovely, professional, caring and did their uttermost to help me feel more comfortable when I was feeling very vulnerable & stressed. A huge thankyou to you all for your help & kindness on this occasion.

I have been having the staff come to my house . They are professional, kind, considerate and I will miss the visits when they finish.well done to all and I Thankyou from the bottom of my heart for the treatment advice and the equipment I received.

I went yesterday to have a problem with my eye looked at, but the nurse was concerned about my oxygen levels so got a very caring doctor to check me out and he did loads of tests asked lots questions, the tests were done swiftly and results were just as swift, he gave me medication there and then, I was amazed at the thoroughness of it all. Every person I spoke to there was polite, caring and efficient especially how hard they were working, but I’m very thankful for them being there for me.

Had to go to eye nurse at Barncoose Hospital. Got seen over four hours later. I don't think there are any excuses for the NHS to make me and so many others wait so long. - The treatment was professional, considerate, warm and comforting. - I was referred to Treliske Hospital for consideration of my eye because of a concern by the nurse. All explained to me! - The appointment at Treliske - eye doctor/nurse was excellent, exactly as I hoped. Thank you for those who helped my eye!

Review titled Great service but lack of cleanliness

We visited today for my daughter. The care we received was brilliant and without faults. However, there needs to be more checking of the cleanliness of areas of the waiting room. When we arrived a previous family had left dirty wetwipes, puddles of water all over the children's toys/ toy area, food/crumbs, half eaten and empty packets, empty bottles and cans and even a packet of cigarettes (directly on top of the children's toys) and other belongings. Whilst this isn't the fault of any of the staff, I feel it is important to raise this and have some kind of inspection of the areas regularly. Not only is this unhygienic, but it is also an active risk to those with allergies (of which my children do).

Following a referral by the 111 service, I went to the community hospital Outpatient dept at 0820 on a Saturday morning. From the charming receptionist at the front desk to the triage nurse who saw me in less than 10 mins thru to the nurse practitioner and doctor who saw me within an hour, the entire visit was an excellent example of the high levels of professionalism and expertise being delivered by the NHS. Thank you team!

I had to have staples taken out after full knee replacement operation so went to the dressings department. They were lovely - very sympathetic,kind and reassuring. They didn't rush and at one point I had to stop them because of discomfort they were really nice about it. I like this hospital it is clean and the staff have always been good to me. The lady at the main reception was lovely and friendly and greeted me with a smile and gave me directions.

The Podiatry Service had to rearrange my appointment for Nail Surgery at short notice last week due to unforeseen circumstances. They were able to offer me another appointment in the same week which I felt was very considerate of them. When I attended the appointment which was rearranged at Truro Health Park the care I received during the appointment (considering I was quite anxious and upset) was exemplary. It really helped that the Podiatrist had a member of staff with them who could assist with giving me reassurance. I am very aware of the difficult time that the NHS is experiencing at present and the pressures on staff and services but the staff that are working in Podiatry and on Reception in both Redruth and Truro Health Park are brilliant.

Visited the urgent treatment centre today with 14 yr old son with split lip after an accident in PE. Many thanks to triage team for their welcome and humour especially later in a very busy day, and to the trauma nurse for her care and detail in putting things back together again and putting my son at ease. CRCH what a fab team (and the ladies at reception) you have in the UTC.
