  1. Review titled Seamless and caring service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Julie - Posted on 10 May 2023

I had a mastectomy yesterday in the day care surgery. It was a positive experience, the staff were tremendous. All grades of staff and roles worked well as a team and I felt very well cared for. The food and drinks offered afterwards were good and plentiful, pain relief was offered and given quickly. The discharge process was quick and efficient. I know there are criticism's within the NHS but I don't think praise is always appreciated when it is faultless. Thank you to everyone from the surgeon, anaesthetist , theatre team and all the staff working in the day case surgical unit for making me feel so safe and comfortable.

  2. Review titled Amazing pediatric care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 May 2023

Visited this evening with my baby. I was slightly worried about the time it would take to be seen but we were seen and sorted in a couple of hours. The triage children's nurse was lovely and so gentle with the baby. She did all of her checks without disturbing him to much. Then we waited a while and was seen by a doctor. Both staff seemed like they genuinely care for children and took their time to listen, diagnose and discuss.

  3. Review titled Wonderful and attentive care

by Anaphyslaxis patient - Posted on 07 March 2023

Rushed into hospital with anaphylaxis to something that we still don’t know what caused it (but I am waiting for referral to immunology) The A&E team responded ridiculously fast and dealt with it very quickly and I was transferred to ITU team for a couple of days. I received wonderful, attentive care at Bassetlaw ITU and the team were kind (yet firm) that I had to stay there till it was safe for me to go home. They explained everything they needed to do, and despite me being distressed about having to stay I was reassured and well cared for.

What an excellent employee who only works one day a week unfortunately, staff should take example from his lead, someone who cares, definitely in the right environment. Bedside manner exemplary. What a wonderful doctor. Thank you for at last diagnosing my frozen shoulder on top of my torn rotator cuff After 3 years. A huge credit to an and e.

  9. Review titled I will never forget this whole experience x

    by KKR94 - Posted on 02 February 2023

I was due to be induced, I was hoping for a quick inducement but that didn't happen due to how busy the labour ward was. One of the midwives broke my waters at 2 am in the morning and it was time for a baby! With how fast my contractions was coming I thought it was going to be a quick labour, they was coming every 4 minutes and so strong! I had a few complications along the way, with the baby's heart rate dropping quite low and the doctors was so fast to act upon it, I also had an infection somewhere so I had to be put on antibiotics drip. The last heart rate dip, one of the doctors came in and examined me and said I can start pushing otherwise it’s an emergency C-section. I had to push with no feeling of contractions due to having an epidural. An hour went by of pushing and my little girl was delivered safely. She had to be checked over by the baby doctors and a cannula put in to start antibiotics due to me having an infection. The aftercare was also amazing on A2, I just want to thank all the midwives and health care workers. You are such a huge credit to the hospital. So professional, made me feel at ease even when they could see I was panicking. My baby girl is healthy and doing so well. I will never forget this whole experience. x
