    We called out the ambulance for a neighbour to be checked after a fall. The Fire Brigade had lifted him from the floor and said that he must be medically checked so wasn't urgent. After two hours a phone call took place and I was told that hopefully a Specialist Paramedic would attend. Nothing that needed hospital treatment was found and my neighbour explained that her husband was booked into a Nursing Home and waiting for a date of acceptance. The Paramedic phoned the Nursing Home, got acceptance cleared immediately and then proceeded to book an ambulance to transport our neighbour to his Care Home. All took place within two and a half hours of my talking to someone in the Ambulance Depot. It is quite refreshing to meet people who work so sensibly - well done and thank you Yorkshire Ambulance.

    My daughter was called several time by her gran. When she called back gran said she wasn’t well and a voice in the background said do we need to speak to your granddaughter but gran said no. Unable to get back in touch my daughter rang me and I rang the ambulance service who were able to confirm that an ambulance was in attendance, her symptoms and the hospital they would go to. This relieved some of our worries as none of us could have got there for 1 to 3 hours and we just thought the worst. Thank you.

    My 11-month-old son had a prolonged seizure. Yorkshire ambulance service attended and took him to Sheffield Children's Hospital. I was amazed at the way the paramedics were able to carry out their job effectively but also keep updating us about the situation and what they were doing. When we arrived at A&E the communication was just as good, every time a member of staff had a few seconds to spare they would come over to me and my partner to tell us what was happening. It really helped in a scary situation. We spent a night and day on ICU and you could tell it was extremely busy, the level of attention was not the same, but staff were clearly trying their best. We were transferred to Ward 5, where the staff were very attentive. My son celebrated his first birthday in hospital with meningitis, which was obviously upsetting for us in addition to everything else. The staff on the ward went above and beyond, surprising us with a birthday cake. We were so grateful for this little detail and all the care they gave to our son. On days when he was feeling a little better, my son wanted to crawl around and didn't like sitting still much. However, it was hard to find a space for him to do this. The floor was hard and he ended up slipping and hitting his mouth on the floor. The staff did provide some soft mats but a larger soft space (eg. carpet in the play room) would be my only suggested improvement. Since coming home we've had to attend A&E several times or call 111 and although it's been exceptionally busy the staff have always made time to provide thorough care and even on occasions where it was only reassurance that was needed. Thank you so much to all the amazing staff at Sheffield Children's Hospital and Yorkshire Ambulance Service. We would be in a much worse place without you.

    I suffered a serious panic attack this morning, which went on for several hours and became very scary. Two paramedics called after a short time and were incredible. Their patience and commitment was second to none. Thank you so much. The world needs more like you!!

    On Friday my father was suffering a heart attack on calling the ambulance service for a second time as his pain was worsening. We was told they didn't know when an ambulance would be with him. At this point we took him to hospital ourselves whick prolonged his pain and suffering. By this point he was very worried and stressed out. On arriving at the Hull Royal infirmary to my discust a drunk was brought in on a ambulance?? How on earth did he take priority over someone who was having a heart attack. Thank god one of us could drive and get him there.

    freindly staff, obliging.After journey you think you are family. As a regular user you get to know your escourt they engage in local bantter your journey is very quick. Totaly different from private providers.

    My son was having a really bad seizure and I was in distress . One of the ambulance crew Awww administering a medication that could make it worse and then shouted at me that he knew what he was doing he’s a paramedic . I informed him that he can’t have that medication as it can cause problems then he said well I’ve asked you for the care plan and I haven’t received it . No empathy for dealing with the sensitive situation then said if you don’t like it feel free to make a complaint and was berry dismissive . This lead me to have a panic attack , I had the care plan all along but when your son is having a life threatening seizure you can sometimes forget things . Absolutely appalling. Then walked off and didn’t hand over any information to the doctors at the hospital

    My wife had a seizure whilst I was driving her home from a long trip. The ambulance arrived in 10 minutes. They carefully transferred her from the car and we were at HRI very quickly. There was a long queue at the hospital and after initial assessment we had to wait in the ambulance for some time. They kept her under observation in case she deteriorated which fortunately was not the case. The crew stayed with us 2 hours after their shift had ended and only left once she was under the care of a doctor. Throughout they were friendly cheerful, never complained. It’s heart warming to know there are people so caring acting in your best interests.

    Called an ambulance today to beckwith Rd inHarrogate 2 ambulance ladies attended Very impressed Our friend had fallen out of bed and injured her arm and shoulder The girls gave her the medical attention required and left ! Thanks very much for care and attention

    My 87 year old wife was taken ill at a well known Yorkshire Fish Reasturent. An ambulance was called via 999 and arrived within 20 minutes. The Ambulancemen were first class. Their care and attention to my wife could not have been better even if they had been dealing with their own mother. I can not thank them enough.
