  1. Review titled Face to Face GP Appointments

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Julia - Posted on 29 February 2024

The biggest difference at this practice is that you can meet with the GP face-to-face. I saw both the GP and a Nurse during my visit, which is rare these days. It's hard to get in-person appointments now, so I was really happy with this. The GP listened to me, diagnosed my issue, and gave me the right medication. Being able to see the doctor in person made a big difference. Thank you.

  2. Review titled Dismissive and unreachable at the best of times

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 August 2023

You can never get an appointment, when you do the gp’s are so dismissive and basically make you feel like you’re insane. Takes multiple appointments to get taken seriously, was told i was fine for over a year until i got referred to a hospital and was told i did indeed have an issue. Went in for the third time about tinitus in my ear which hadn’t improved and was there for 2 minutes whilst they referred me, asked if they had some time to talk about my mental health and they shook their head and made a condescending face and said no id have to book another appointment. I hadn’t even used my 5 minute appointment time, i had had help before from the nhs regarding my mental health and all I wanted was to see if i could have someone to talk to, I’m a teacher and time is limited as is. The way they just brushed me off and never even asked what i needed help with before they dismissed me was shocking. I was quite upset and depressed before i had the appointment and they made me feel even more worthless. I can’t even book said appointment until next week because of how their system works, even then i have to wait over 2 and a bit weeks to see what they have available. Not only that, they were 25 minutes behind on appointments before i got my turn to go in, the least they could’ve done was hear me out. Will be changing surgery asap

  3. Review titled Medication on prescription missing

Rated 1 star out of 5

My mother recently has been in hospital a number of times and her medication has changed over the last few months I have been into the doctors numerous times since Christmas and I have found one or two of the receptionist not to be very helpful and quite rude I have been in today as my mom is due further repeat medication. Lucky I checked with the chemist and yet again the prescription had some items missing I cannot believe that since Christmas this is still happing with my mom’s prescription

  4. Review titled Mental Health Care Poor

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have suffered with mental health for nearly 10 years. I need to talk about my medication as it no longer works, have never had a review. Can’t make an appointment, they’re all booked all the time. Was told to call 111.

  5. Review titled Excellent practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had my Gynaecology appointment yesterday morning, (which in the past I have had difficulty with the procedure process, due to personal reasons). I cannot thank the doctor and nurse enough for their support, patience and caring attitude in my appointment from start to finish. Even at my worse moments, they helped me to have a successful smear test, without needing medication. Thank you so much, for being so understanding.

  6. Review titled Not as bad as they used to be…

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 December 2022

I’ve previously left bad reviews because it was just impossible to get an appointment at this surgery, however I’ve needed antibiotics twice in the last 6 months and although it does take a while to get through on the phone (30 mins both times) I got a telephone appointment for the same day and a prescription sent straight to the pharmacy within minutes. So perhaps they’ve upped their game since covid? I’ve heard worse things about other local surgeries so I’ll stick this one out for now.

  7. Review titled The worst run practice i have ever seen in my life.

Rated 1 star out of 5

Tried to make a appointment by phone, after a hour and a half in que, got to number one and the phone just rang out, what a joke i now have to go to the walk in centre , this practice just puts more strain on the nhs walk in centre, i would encourage more people to complain about the service this practice is providing.

  8. Review titled Appointment crisis

Rated 1 star out of 5

Called to express how ill l was after a wk of over the counter meds inform no appointments after 45 minute wait Advised to call 111 to be informed l would have to wait up to 24 hours before l receive a call back. Fell asleep at 10am with a temp of 38.3 shaking woke up at 4pm . Deteriorated drastically so my next step was to call 999 . If l was even spoken to by a Gp l wouldn’t of deteriorated but l wasn’t even given the option even though l expressed my symptoms to the extreme!!! I feel l was totally ignored by the call taker and left to deteriorate wasting a 999 call I apologised to the team for wasting there time but was reassured how ill l was and shouldn’t of been ignored and left waiting The team called the Gp requesting antibiotics but again hot a obstacle stating Gp was busy and there wasn’t anybody else to prescribe my antibiotics for until the next morning wasting over 14 hours without treatment!!! All l can say is good help anyone who deteriorates and is unable to get help because you might as well die waiting to get through for help!! Again l have called this am to check if my prescription is ready at 8am by the time l listened to the long introduction l was then informed that the calls was at maximum capacity and to try and call back later !! This is a appalling disgrace service and if l worked as a health care professional there l would be ashamed of myself not providing a healthcare service that is required!! I would like to ask What are you doing about the total neglect of your patients that you know you are not providing a service to ? Can you please explain how you are planning to improve this situation? To prevent your patients you are responsible for deteriorating by waiting continuously trying to get a appointment or just a basic telephone consultation?

  9. Review titled Very poor practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 October 2022

So I call the surgery as I didn’t need a face to face appointment and was in a cue, after waiting 40 minutes I got down to being placed at number 1. I waited another 10 minutes with no one answering the call. So I drove to the surgery to ask why have I been on hold for an hour when I was first in the cue. I honestly thought arriving there the surgery would be jam packed and the receptionist would be on the phone. But neither of them were on the phone and the place was empty. I can’t understand why the service at this surgery is so inadequate. You just can’t access the services you require at any point you try to make contact.

  10. Review titled shocking

refered for MRI scan August 21, treatment just forgot about and logged as finished, finally got appoint in June 22 after chasing original scan appointment to be put back on list (Dr did mark as urgent to be fair so thumbs up there). Appoint for MRi came through quite quickly, went for scan and thats where the trouble begins, told two weeks for results by radiologist , called day after two weeks (approx 40 mins to get to speak to somebody), told no, 6-8 weeks , "they tell everyone 2 weeks " was reply as reason for not having the results, went into surgery at four weeks, 5 weeks , 6 weeks, then finally 8 weeks, reception staff said nothing on system and I would have to call "them" (whoever "them " is )and chase, I'm proud of NHS, they do a great job but this place is awful, I go to appointments when something is wrong, not a sniffle, ache n pain but a problem requiring an appointment, in whole disappointed
