    I had an appointment for my regular smear test today. Louise the nurse was fantastic, she put me at ease and i felt she really cared about me. She explained everything perfectly and went over other things with me too. Really pleasant experience, I didn’t feel rushed which I have sometimes in the past. Really positive experience, thank you

    My mum and i both have various health issues and every member of staff from doctors to reception staff couldn't be more helpful. I hear people saying they can never get an appointment with a doctor at other surgeries but that has literally never been a problem even once, someone is always available, even if it's just a quick phone call with the on call doctor. We are supremely grateful to everyone who works here

    I have been a patient for over 10 years and have noticed a decline in the levels of care/service over since the practice joined a larger group with significant deterioration over the last 12 months. Unless you phone up on the day you can't get an appointment within 10-12 weeks with your named GP for continuation of care and correspondence from consultants or referral letters are always with 'the secretaries' when you phone up leading to consistent delays in medical treatment. I appreciate GPs are under pressure in terms of workloads especially in the South East given number of patients to GPs, but sharing my experiences with friends Yalding seems to be worse than a lot now when it was one of the best. It might help if they move to using appropriate technology rather than the postal system.

    Dear Patient, We are sorry that you are unhappy with the service we are providing but the system is under extreme pressure. As a response to acute demand we have more urgent appointments than previously and we have engaged with appropriate technology including AccRx, Medilink and e-consult. We are striving to reduce our routine waiting time and have recently employed a wonderful Independent Prescriber Advanced Nurse Practitioner in addition to our Paramedic. You are correct in saying that across the South East there is a GP recruitment crisis and we are significantly under doctored in the area. The GPs at the surgery are working 12 hour days to try and cope with the demand and often work weekends ploughing through letters and results. Should you have any specific concerns about your care then please contact the surgery as we endeavour to provide the best patient care we can in these difficult times.

    Nurses and Doctors are great but when I started prescriptions were ready in 2 working days and now it is 5 day even though displays in waiting room say 3, and the dispensary opens late so I cannot pick up on the way to work and this has never been communicated to patients. I hear a lot of people running out of medication.

    Dear Noelle I understand your frustration with regard to collecting your medication. Unfortunately, we have had to increase the amount of days from 2 to 5. Not only have we had a vast increase in patient numbers but also missed/late deliveries which we are currently addressing with one of our suppliers. We have introduced a system whereby when you collect your medication you can give your repeat slip to dispensary and they will endeavour to have the next issue ready in 4-weeks. Should you wish to discuss further please contact the surgery.
