Review titled Terrible Service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by KEVIN PETER CASWELL - Posted on 30 September 2024
Doctor was supposed to call, that never happened. put an official complaint to the surgery, No reply received from them. wife had a fall and was told she would have to wait 2 Weeks for a Appointment. eventually told to go to walk in Weymouth for a X -ray. Under the impression they would be expecting her, This was not the case and she had to wait 3 hours for an X-ray. At no since my wife fall has she seen anybody at thhe surgery. No response from the Doctor or from the complaint i put into the surgery. A very dissapointing experience.

Review titled Awareness of ailments
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 26 August 2024
I appreciate that some ailments aren't recognised, through the possible lack of training. complex regional pain syndrome or arvc. There are vital organisations out there that raise valuable awareness, those through arvc that prevent cardiac deaths in the young. This is why I believe it vital if the young are to be protected and sufferers of crps are to be truly understood especially when the mac gill pain score alerts ⚠️ to the highest degree of pain training is vital. I gave the surgery some leaflets on crps never to be seen in the waiting room at all. Any cardiac sudden death in young adults is a tragedy, so therfore I was most disheartened that a gp I saw recently didn't even know 1. What my back brace was for considering it was prescribed by a hospital 2. No knowledge of arvc.I appreciate that some ailments aren't recognised, through the possible lack of training. Re complex regional pain syndrome or arvc. The organisations exist to prevent cardiac deaths in the young. I can only wonder if my medical record is truly complete and I will endeavour to ascertain a information pack on cardiac risk in the young to produce to the surgery. Thank you.

Review titled Beyond Awful
Rated 1 star out of 5
by CMB - Posted on 03 June 2024
Every single time I have had to interact with this surgery it was painful. It feels like as a patient, I’m a burden. My experience is that the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. It’s down to me to manage my care as they don’t communicate at all. Lengthy waits on the phone (45 minutes +), no follow up calls, no information sent on (blood test bookings/fit notes). I have to chase them for everything as nothing gets done, when I do chase them it’s met with contempt or rudeness, and a response of “I’ll send them a message”. Which never creates any response. I wrote two letters asking for clarity, both were ignored. It feels like they actively restrict the access to the service. On one visit, a member of the team made a joke that the receptionist had a ‘fan club’ as there were several people waiting. Maybe there wouldn’t be a ‘fan club’ if you actually did what you were supposed to? I asked to speak to a secretary and was told they weren’t in, “probably off sunning themselves”. I experienced rude staff, staff that don’t listen or just pass the buck. Was also told I can’t book an appointment in the surgery. When I finally did get an appointment the nurse practitioner was surly, over-spoke when I was trying to explain the issues I’ve had, and felt like there was a complete lack of respect and empathy from her. I have since moved to another local surgery, I’ve seen a GP within a short time frame and have a clear plan, with follow up and easy communication lines. It’s a breath of fresh air! If you’re looking to move surgeries to Wyke, I wouldn’t bother. It’s the worst experience I’ve ever received from a doctors.

Review titled Terrible phone service.
Rated 1 star out of 5

Tried to phone about a prescription ordered 2 weeks prior, no reply 2 days. Drove there to find out there was a massive shortage of staff. The staff present, did the prescription the next day. The line that takes queries resulted in no action from 2 messages left. The reception calls are virtually impossible.

Review titled Deteriorating service
Rated 1 star out of 5

If an appointment is made, doctors and medical staff have been professional and very helpful. However, getting an appointment is another matter and 20 minutes, often more, waiting on the phone for a receptionist is unacceptable. Doctors and staff are not being recruited to join this seriously overstretched practice, despite advertising and the latest consortium that have recently taken over show no visible signs of improving matters. Currently perceived as the worst practice in the area by patients and other medical professionals. The website is out-of-date with broken links, in line with practice management. A real concern, as the practice serves a large area, often with no convenient transport routes and alternative medical centres are not available.

Review titled Gives general practice a bad name
Rated 1 star out of 5

I put my registration in 2 weeks ago, for one took forever for staff to come to out to reception, second when came out they weren’t dressed professionally at all! Thirdly the two times Ive called in the afternoon so not at peak times have taken well over 10 minutes to be answered! Fourthly 2 weeks and I’m still not registered, told them to cancel it! I myself work in a surgery and know it doesn’t take that long and given the excuse we’ve had months of sickness within the staff so short staffed! That’s not professional to tell a patient and doesn’t exactly make me feel like I would want to join there!
