  1. Review titled Impossible to get through on telephone

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 December 2023

I started to contact practice at 8.20am this morning. Telephone still engaged at 11.30 am. I Listened to recorded message asking me to be patient from 8.45 until 10.45 am. My call must have kept the practice telephone line busy for all this time. I have spent my whole career in the NHS and I cannot understand why receptionists are now allowed to ignore a telephone call for all this time, yet the excuse is always given that so many patients are trying to get through. Maybe the receptionists who are sitting chatting when you attend the practice should be educated in answering telephone calls. Additionally, why do all appointment have to be in the morning when the practice is supposed to be open until 6.30pm for those of us who go to work. Please can we go back to the really efficient service that we had only a few years ago.

  2. Review titled Really helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I’ve been with this practice a few years now and have always had a good experience. I use the app to send details of mine or my little boys symptoms and always get a ring back from a dr, usually the same morning, and if they think we need to be seen the dr arranges a prompt appointment. I find the Drs really helpful and reassuring. One GP really helped me get a diagnosis after I had attended A&E overnight several times only to be sent home, with the GP’s help the hospital eventually gave me extra tests and I got a diagnosis and ongoing medication which has really improved my life. Would recommend this practice, and encourage all to use the app for an e consult if they can as it’s a really effective way of being able to speak to the dr

  3. Review titled Terrible place

Rated 1 star out of 5

Woolton Medical Centre was always a good practice in my opinion, Since COVID it has gone slowly down hill. Can't get an appointment with a doctor you want, cant get through on the phone, massive queues every morning trying to get an appointment. The last straw for me was yesterday I had an appointment, again with a doctor I had never heard of or seen before, (not allowed to mention names) he was very unprofessional and blunt. needless to say I didn't get any help after waiting a week for the appointment. he gave me medication that I clearly stated I could not tolerate from past experience. Something needs to change as they can't keep blaming COVID for their inefficiency. Receptionist need to be properly trained on how to deal with people.

  5. Review titled Rude reception staff spoil a good practice

Rated 3 stars out of 5

One receptionist at the practice needs to change her attitude. Abrupt nasty and rude. I dont need to mention her name as everyone who attends the surgery knows about her. Why she is doing the job as clearly she have no people skills. Reception staff should be professional and pleasant in my opinion.

  6. Review titled Doctors are Great - Receptionist are horrendous

Rated 1 star out of 5

Most of the GP's are great with a few exceptions but the receptionists are horrible. You can hear them being horrible to patients on phone, keeping them on hold pretending to help them when just chatting with each other.Trying to get an appointment is like trying to get an audience with the Pope. Receptionists always rude and arrogant, not surprisingly as they follow the practise managers example.
