Virtually impossible to see a doctor. Still got e.consult so good excuse to give you as much difficulty as possible to see a doctor...rude receptionists. Still hiding behind e.consult. should be investigated!

  2. Review titled Frustrated

Rated 1 star out of 5

My husband strained his back at work and was unable to continue working this was on the 19th July. His company requested a fit note. Well this was like trying to touch the crown jewels !! each time he went to the surgery he was told do an e-consult form. Which he did only to get 2 text messages one after the other saying a GP had triaged my husband and a physio therapist would call him on the 29th August then a second text following the second e-consult form, a physio therapist would call him on 11th September!! My husband goes back to the surgery again, this is the 4th time. Reception denied all knowledge of the first e-consult form he completed so he backed it up showing the two text messages he'd received and saying I do not need 2 phone calls I'd just like a fit note. He's told no you can't have a fit note until you have seen a GP first. So he asks for a GP appointment, my husband is told no you must wait until you see the physio. He explains but this is not a face to face appointment it is a phone call how will I get a fit note via a phone call. By this time several weeks have gone by since my husband first reported this to the surgery and he's still not fit enough to return to work. He was being pressured form his place of work so obviously he was becoming very frustrated and anxious. When he expressed his frustration the young receptionist accused him of verbal abuse and said she was going to walk away!!!! My husband was not verbally abusive he did not use any offensive language or swear, he was frustrated, not a good situation to be in considering my husband had a heart attack 18 months ago. Eventually he receives a call from the physio therapist who asks lots of questions and finishes with I'll do you a sick note and attach some exercises for you to do, you can collect it from reception. Finally he has a fit note he can take in to his employers but this has taken 6 weeks!!! After collecting the fit note he then receives a letter from the surgery stating due to his abusive behaviour this is a warning and if it happens again he would be struck off the register. Unbelievable and disgusting patient care.

  3. Review titled Appalling GP service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Judy - Posted on 01 November 2023

I am a single of triplets despite being in general good health have been seen once by their GP Getting their prescriptions is a total nightmare and their care not being prioritised. One of my triplets had really bad reflux and I had to take him to A&E as no doctor was available to see him despite being ill all night and I'm constant pain. My experience is that myself and my children are treated as second class citizens and a bother to the GP. I feel.likw I have to beg just to get the required care. This practice makes me have anxiety just to contact them. Would not recommend at all. The few times I have has to contact them left me physically and mentally exhausted

Have continuous toe problems not just ingrowing pain lots of other problems I did an on line e consult saying I had bad pain and had a response saying they don't dish out antibiotics for it and no longer do podiatry and I'll have to pay . Ok no problem I'm type1 diabetic I need it seen to .But at no time did I ask or want antibiotics they assumed that what I was asking for . Also are they no longer looking after diabetics feet and allowing them to either pay out for podiatrist or just suffer if they can't due to cost of living crisis .

  6. Review titled Terrible Administration

Rated 1 star out of 5

The administration at this practice is appalling. The quality of communication with patients is abysmal if it happens at all. I have had an outstanding complaint for a number of months that remains unanswered. Getting to speak to someone, let alone getting an appointment with a GP, is akin to pulling teeth in it's painfulness and time taken. If a GP has time for a telephone consultation then surely they have time for a face to face. Seems to me that COVID has given the practice a continued excuse to continue to deliver a very below par service.

  7. Review titled Lovely Receptionist

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I have felt really in the dark about my current health situation, I have been met with some real flippant responses and been left in the dark. Your lovely receptionist who i spoke to at 12:15pm today, was really kind and put my mind at ease as best she could. She was the first person I spoke to who showed genuine kindness and concern, she brightened my day. Thank you!

Thank you, so much for your lovely comment. I have passed to the staff that were on the front desk this morning at 12.15. My receptionists have a really hard job and unfortunately do not get many positive comments only negative and at times very abusive patients. This has made our day. Thank you. 9. Review titled Extremely Poor Patients Delivery Services

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Emmanuel Sunny Enebeli - Posted on 06 December 2022

I was kept waiting on the phone for over 40 minutes on Friday December 2nd 2022 just before noon before someone answered my call just to book for a GP call back. Having explained to the receptionist that I had just had a procedures done some few days ago, and I am going through an excruciating pain, I needed a doctor to prescribe some pain tablets to relieved the pain. She told me that a doctor would call back later that day. But unfortunately, no doctor call back. I only just received a text message on Monday December 5th 2022 (two days later) that a doctor would call me on the 8th December 2022. This is clearly not a very good patients service. I believe priority should be given to the elderly and sick rather than simply ignoring them. I need not have to go through such devastating pain for that long. Why should patients need to wait for over 40 minutes for their calls to be answered. I believe there is serious lack of co-ordination between the reception staffs and those dealing with answering patients calls to book for GP call back. Sadly, that is the way things have always been at Woodlands Family Practice but urgent attention should be focus on the flaws to help patients much more.

  10. Review titled Discusting

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mr Anthony Tickner - Posted on 24 October 2022

I have been out of hospital for just over a week after an operation for appendix and I am still in some pain i rang the hospital who told me that I was to contact my GP I rang this morning to make some kind of consultation explaining that i am 82 and in pain and what the hospital had told me what to do the receptionist took down everything she was told (so she said) and would forward it to a doctor I received a text telling me that my call back will be on the 4th of November what a joke my wife and I have been with this surgery for 19 years and always been very happy but these days the surgery has gone to pot are the receptionists portraying our requests properly or is it because the doctors are having a lovely cushy time getting paid for absolutely nothing because it certainly seems that they couldn't give a dam and I feel very sorry for Doctor Naveen who built this practice with so much care and too see it go down the pan like it is as the way the surgery is acting is putting more pressure on the NHS When they can do more to help their patients by doing more face to face consultations to say that I am so angry and disgusted and disappointed is an understatement and something needs to be done here's hoping someone comes up with some solution
