Called up for an appointment the elderly receptionist who is obviously under the illusion she is a qualified Dr refused to listen to my request and told me to go to a pharmacist Furious I went to the surgery to be greeted abruptly after standing for 7 minutes to be told by the same receptionist who has clearly been here that long she feels she controls the system to go to the pharmacy Didn’t get her name but maybe she needs to retire or realise she isn’t a doctor Vile I have now requested to change drs

I am sorry to read your review and that you felt your recent experience with Willow Wood Surgery was not a positive one. Pharmacies now offer a fantastic new service called "Pharmacy First". The new Pharmacy First service, launched 31 January 2024, means that patients across England can now get prescription-only treatment for seven common conditions at their local high street pharmacy, without needing to see a GP. These include - otitis media, Impetigo, insect bites, UTIs, Shingles, Sinusitis, and sore throats. The Pharmacy is also able to offer advice on common symptoms such as coughs, and colds. This is a brilliant way patients can access the medication they need without waiting to see a GP. If the Pharmacist feels a patients symptoms do need a GP review they will refer the patient back to the practice and an appointment will be made. Came in to see the Dr for the first time in a while , lovely girl in reception very helpful and polite. A patient in the waiting room was quite unwell the young girl came straight out and was very caring, very refreshing to see such attitude from her . she got the patient water and talked to her whilst she waited Well done

Having never been to Royal Stoke hospital I had horrible experience last Monday 15:04/24 as a result I came home and phoned my hp next day the receptionist was so lovely so helpful and understanding as are all the staff at the surgery just want to say thank you for all your support

I have just had a knee operation and needed to book to have staples removed she explained it was wound care asked if I had pen and paper which I didn’t so took the time to email me the details. Very helpful and friendly credit to your team thank you

I went into the surgery about 4.30 pm on Thursday 11th January. I'm having a procedure done at 7.30 am on the 15th January. I was asked by the hospital to get a record of a biopsy I had in January 2011. The treatment I received was abysmal. I had to disclose personal details about myself and there were a lot of people behind me. It's been a pleasure going into Willow Wood surgery but after that experience I'm not so sure anymore.

Husband saw doctor on Monday and was told to return Friday if no better. Rang at 8.30am. Told no appointments left as only 1 doctor in. Told by receptionist in a hurried voice to ring 111 and they will prescribe something if you need it!!

I recently visited and saw a nurse practitioner who wanted to give some medication but wanted some advice from a doctor so went home to receive a call the following day. The Doctor called and asked how he could help. I replied he was calling based on the note from the nurse. He then decided I needed do have my BP and sats. He told me to book another appointment to see a nurse. I saw the nurse who then put a note on the system for the doctor to then contact. The doctor rang again “how can I help” again you are ringing me following the note on the system! 3 appointments to get to the end result. You can see the problem here. I miss the e consult service especially as you could do this in your own time and the responses seemed to be much better, it feels like we have gone back in time. I’m yet to build a relationship with the GPs

I don’t visit often, thankfully; my experience today was very good - reception staff and GP all listened and were efficient in their help. Appointment was on time and I left feeling reassured. Thank you

Fantastic great improvement to the practice- visited twice this month due to ongoing health issue was offered an on the day appointment one for 3 days later or a weekend one at a local practice!

They are held at the Dene Drive building for all practices in the Winsford PCN theses run Friday evenings and all day Saturday and can be booked via the reception team! Getting past a receptionist could be putting lives at risk. I wanted information on an injection I've got to have weekly. Because I'm to I'll to get to the doctors, I asked could I speak to the nurse. I was told that there were no appointments. I'd just cancelled mine so there must have been a place.
