  1. Review titled Poor telephone clinic

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 April 2024

I was supposed to have a telephone appointment with the pharmacist which I booked 2 weeks ago. I was at work and despite having the phone in front of me I didn’t answer as I got caught with an urgent task (by the way pharmacist didn’t call on time). The pharmacist only attempted to call me one more time within a minute of previous attempt. She then marked me as “did not attend” and moved on. I called the surgery back straight away and they said that they could not ask the pharmacist to call me back. So I lost my appointment because of 1-2 minutes. I had to rebook and now it’s another 2 weeks wait. I don’t think it’s acceptable to have such an easy approach to did not attend. I work in NHS and in my workplace there’s no way we would only allow 1-2 minutes for our patients to show up/pick up the phone.

  2. Review titled Won't answer the phone

Rated 2 stars out of 5

In spite of being first in the phone queue for an hour the reception wouldn't answer the phone. I have been to the surgery multiple times and the receptionists simply ignore the ringing phone even though they are not speaking to anyone (except each other) in person. The wait for the earliest appointment is around four weeks. When you speak to anyone in person they are perfectly lovely, but they obviously need to get a new management.

  3. Review titled Poor

Fed up being told routine appoints are 4 weeks. Service is appalling Emergency appointments available if you win the lottery and can get through at 8.30 Doctor I saw today was quite patronising and quite clearly had not read my notes and didn’t have a clue about my condition. He asked me how long I had had the condition - surely if you read the notes you would know this and what it was. Complete waste of time.

  4. Review titled Poor service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

This is a GP practice that seems to think it is okay for a 2 and a half year old to wait more than half an hour and the communication at the practice is non-existent

  5. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

When I became suddenly and very worryingly unwell the response of the surgery was excellent - fitting me in to see a doctor that same morning and providing very good follow-up.

  6. Review titled First class

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Practice is great, the ladies on reception are wonderful and amazingly kind. From my phone call at 10am to walking out with meds, just over an hour! Thank you all so much.

  7. Review titled Room for improvement

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I’ve been a patient of this practice on and off over the last 20 years. While I find the drs to be mostly great, approachable, good listeners, as well as the nursing staff, the general surgery could be run better, they lack communication. They have called me before to raise a concern with my daughter and then never replied to my email asking for more information, I actually raised this for the practice managers attention too. The reception staff are where I find the problems, while most are friendly, one in particular seems to lack any sense of compassion, has an awful telephone manner and quite frankly sounds as if she would rather be anywhere else. I’ve had many roles within the NHS and don’t think it’s hard to act as if care! This seriously needs to be looked into.
