Was kept upto date on my place in the queue via the link in my messages. Received a call back in 20mins from a polite lady who dealt with my problem in a couple of minutes.

This surgery is now a 100% in care, helping there patients.I have serious illnesses and have very bad days and the doctors, nurses and receptionists understand how this makes me feel and affects my life now on a daily bases.so they are very careing and the doctors keep a check on my tablets to make sure they don’t interact with another. This surgery is definitely 100% better thank you

Review titled Outstanding reception staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ann Aylott - Posted on 04 March 2025
On 28/2/2025 I contacted the surgery regarding a prescription for Cyclizine to combat nausea related to radiotherapy. The receptionist I spoke to arranged for the prescription to be upgraded to urgent and provided a barcode to enable me to take it to any pharmacy. The pharmacies in Wideopen are closed all weekend. She showed exceptional empathy, listening skills, professionalism, explained the protocol involved, kept me informed at every stage. I was able to get the tablets later on the same day and am extremely grateful. I was also examined by a doctor (working at the surgery as part of her training) regarding water retention in my legs and feet. After a thorough examination (a rare event due to pressure on GP’s lately) she referred me to a cardiologist and within 2 weeks heart failure was diagnosed and medication changed as necessary. Many thanks to both.

Review titled Unacceptable waiting times
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 February 2025
I called this morning at 8:50am and waited well over an hour to get through to the reception and was offered an appointment in two weeks time. This is unacceptable. We are asked to avoid using A&E but when we have an appointment to see the GP a fortnight after we ask for one, our symptoms could have potentially gotten worse and will require hospital intervention. This is not a sustainable system. We cannot be asked to avoid A&E to avoid hospital pressures but then be denied a reasonable appointment. Something needs to be fixed because, at least at the GP, there is something fundamentally broken about the system.
